Teaser would be nice)
İts not just Mig29 or Yak141 that pulls better G’s at high speed its basically almost any plane pulls better then F-16’s at high speeds.
Even Phantoms can pull more G’s then F-16 at high speeds which clearly shows Gaijin limited F-16’s capabilites.
Personally i dont care if you feel untouchable in Netz, i can also feel same when im using my Mig29-Yak141 or F-16AJ but this doesnt change the reality, ita obvious Gaijin uses compression mechanic to limits F-16 dogfight performance rather then using G-limit or AOA limit.
İf you cant see the reality its yours problem not ours.
see this is where you’re confused, pulling higher Gs doesn’t mean it’s more maneuverable, in that case you would be arguing that the F-4 is a better dogfighter which it objectively isn’t. Just because the F-16 isn’t pulling 13G all the time doesn’t mean it isn’t insanely maneuverable.
İf you’re confusing sustained turn fight with instant turning capabilites then its your problem not mine.
Mig29 can pull extremely high G’s at high speeds while also can do rate with F-16 easily since rate values for both planes almost identical.
But guess who will have more advantage in dogfight? if you cant i can give you a clue.
The flight control system of F16 will limit your overload to a maximum of 9G, and most fly by wire controlled aircraft have this design; The MiG 29, Jacques 141, and F14 have no restrictions because they use an augmentation system.
Why do players always complain about the poor maneuverability of the F16? It’s because other aircraft, such as World War II planes and early jets, cannot pull down 11-12G at high speeds in reality, which almost instantly causes the aircraft to stall and spin. Gaijin has written a flight assistance system for the aircraft, and players don’t have to worry about this problem in AB RB at all. In this system, the F16 introduces limitations on flyby flight control, And his opponents have almost no such restrictions, which is the problem. In the future, for example, F15 will use an augmentation system, which will have a more similar operating feel to the MiG 29 and F14. Su27 will also have overload limits when using analog teleportation, and F18 will have more limitations, so it is the same; Our current Phantom 2000C and Phantom 2000-5F flight controls are incorrect. They will limit maximum overload at high speeds, and currently Gaijin has not restored it. However, these two aircraft have overload and overrun switches, so I think Gaijin will release the limit for flights with overload and overrun switches in the future. However, F16 does not have this switch, so we can only adapt to it.
Exactly this is the thing im talking about but you’re wrong about one thing.
Currently F-16 doesnt have AOA or G limiter provided by flyby-wire system.
Gaijin using compression mechanic to mimic flyby-wire technology on F-16
again instant (high speed) turning isn’t everything, I get it the MiG-29 is OP but don’t mistake the MiG-29 being good for the F-16 being bad, I haven’t used the MiG-29, I have fought against them and it always felt pretty balanced but what do I know? Well I know that they both out perform everything else in the game by a mile, buffing the F-16 will only make the game more top heavy and there is no reason to assume the F-16 flight model is any more wrong than the MiG-29s.
Yes, they have simplified many things and made it easier to implement at the code level, but this is also understandable because War Thunder has never been a simulation game, it is just a way to restore as much as possible. If we want to experience complete aircraft performance, we can choose DCS or BMS
İnstant turn capabilites gives you ability to take position earlier against your opponent and thus its a major advantage if you know how to handle it.
F-16 is direct counter for Mig29 and having better flight performance against other planes doesnt change the fact that F-16 has disadvantages.
Yes simplyfying things is a good for this game most of the time and im not against it but what im against is that only F-16 gets affected most by this simplyfing situation at top tier.
Gaijin using a flight model to model the flight characteristics of a video game analogue of real life aircraft? what a terrible, awful, heinous thing to do.
Like what is your point, that Gaijin designed the F-16 to be how it is? if you want arcade aircraft play an arcade game otherwise assume that Gaijin are actually trying to design flight models representative of the real world and don’t act like you know better.
Then lets model other aircrafts accuretaly and see what happens when they try to perform those high speed actions.
Let me give you a clue, you’re not gonna like whats gonna happen next.
Instant turn also give you disadvantages the longer a fight drags on, the key to winning a dogfight in the F-16 is to drain your opponent of energy, usually after 2 or 3 turns you can gain the advantage back.
And besides that whole argument ignores how rare 1v1 dogfights actually are at top tier.
Thats why i specifically said “if you know” how to handle that ability.
Apperantly you dont read or understand properly.
I don’t care, more accurate or less accurate so long as it’s consistent and I don’t see how the F-16 flight model is inconsistent with the rest of them, it has it’s own flight characteristics separate to that of the MiG-29, it performs to a very similar level as the MiG-29 being better in some areas and worse in others, the fact is the game can never be perfectly balanced because the aircraft in it are wildly different, if you want the MiG-29 and F-16 to perform exactly the same then what you want isn’t War Thunder
new dovbleg yet?
Too early
First you claimed F-16’s flight model is accurate so it should be fine because of how gaijin modelled compare to its real life and now you’re saying you dont care if its accurate or not as long as you have what you got?
Damn man you should stop bein hypocratic…
when do you think? in around 2h? maybe 3?
Its the morning in Europe at the moment, blogs usually drop sometime in the afternoon.
Early afternoon sometimes means two blogs.
