Sons of Attila - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 1)

Idc it’s a funny word

I think Oxygen Thief or Oxy addressed it on stream once, his own experience was that a single team would dominate and essentially be forced to camp the airfield.
Here he spoke with his own opinion and his own experiences of course, not representing Gaijins official view.
It’s a shame.

They could maybe… have multiple airfields….
Have grid zones spontaneously blocked off by AAA if the enemy begins to “spawn camp” the airfields.
You know how you can “capture” grid zones in Simulator? Yeah, use that mechanic, of grid zones going to one team, and use it with AAA to discourage spawn camping.

Once again, Gaijin gives no fucks and doesn’t put in the fucking effort.

yeah, ground battles should be separate from combined battles really, I don’t play ground but I know first hand how annoying it is to be killed by mid map AA in air RB. I sympathize with all the people who hate CAS

if we make combined battles it’s own thing then you should be able to spawn planes earlier on and maybe they should also have bomb targets and bigger maps too

yeah it’s not top tier, but it could make a fun early missile SPAA

“But Pantsir too good! I should be able to sit in my F14B, with a thermal imaging pod, dropping guided bombs on the enemy spawn while flying at 14,000m”

CAS really becomes a rightfully distasteful thing at higher tiers

But I am a hypocrite, I will also enjoy CAS.
But my nation also needs the best AA to counter enemy CAS.

Can’t wait for the S2, so I can shoot them down before they even spawn

just wait til F/A-18 and later F-16 variants introduce SEAD capability

then you may as well have S-300 as an SPAA

yeah I’ve heard that before, the issue is that air SB is the exact same, and so is ground RB to an extent right? It feels like something worth trying regardless but Gaijin don’t want to dilute the matchmaker too much, they won’t even decompress the BRs because of the effect it might have on matchmaker times.

Most spaas in game can shoot incoming missiles. Well average player now isn’t that capable of doing it by the looks of it but still

You know, I’d be happy if we had SEAD. That would mean that Gaijin could code it properly and make it work.

now if done right you won’t sew a HARM until it hits you

It’s less of an issue in Air Sim, because of the difficulty in playing it, but it’s still prevalent.
If Sim actually attracted those with proper experience and set-ups/controls to play it, it would be a large issue*
Most players, like myself, are mouse and keyboard lol

I come back to get my supper and sees 10 messages what the hell is wrong with you guys

done right how? Fly in tree level?

yea uhm I hope they get that right

but I don’t think so

love me SEAD missions in the F-16C in another game and I think it would add complexity to Air Sim and Ground RB

fly tree level until you pick the radar up and then throw it down the SPAAs direction and fly off as fast as you can

I think Gaijin have said in the past that if anti radiation missile were implemented accurately they wouldn’t be very useful, they’re designed to target much bigger radars than on any of the ingame SPAA, like they wouldn’t really be able to target Pantsir or Tor-M1 very well.

oh right thats a good point

Now that I have HOTAS I can ground Sim CAS too

maybe against actual sam sites this can work. against mobile trucks like the pansir the effectiveness of this tactic is much lower, well better than nothing i guess
