Sons of Attila - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 1)

Vehicules from colonies aren’t really realistic as back at the time, it was mainly french vehicules, but know the link between France and those colonies is literraly broken

Besides that i dont understand why spain should go to italy, italy already potentialy can get greece, turkey and hungary

tell that britain and its africa subtree

South Africa was a Dominion able to field it’s own armed forces, France didn’t really have any colonies like that so any French colony would only have vehicles post decolonization which only helps for the cold war.

Spain would be more of a help for Italy in terms of Ground Forces, adding, among other vehicles:

-M60A3TTS
-Leopard 2A4
-Leopard 2E (gameplay wise, Strv 122 with L/55 and DM53 and M1A2 SEP’s thermals)
-Leopard 2E Tortuga (same as former, but with roof .50 cal and slat armor)
-AMX-30 Roland SAM

So, as you can see, while it would probably not be so interesting in terms of low tiers or air, it would be a HUGE reinforcement for Italy at High and Top Tier, giving them a top SAM and two MBTs which would be the best in the game (literally improved Strv 122s).

better then nothing besides that my argument still stands with italy already potentialy getting greece, turkey, and hungary. Spain could go to france

everything that hungary would already do, or turkey or greece

I think it makes more sense that France and Greece go together as allies since WWII and Spain and Italy go together as both were nationalist dictatorships during WWII.

i dont mind either, would do the same job

No need to breed top Leopards 2. This is how it will be if you produce Abrams or T80BVM and the like. Who would like that? Everyone except the country of the creator. Again, either Italy (Sweden) will stand up with certain br as a permanent ally of Germany in the TRB, or simply these Leopards will all go to Germany.

You can take some planes from there for an Argentine subtree in Germany. The great “gaps” of the German cold war in aviation can be perfectly filled by many of these aircraft, in which some German designers even participated between the 50’s and 90’s.

That tree only goes to the Mirage III in the fighter line, the biggest issue the German air tree has is the gap that is going to be between the F-4F ICE and the EF-2000, please tell me how Argentina helps with that?

Like anything post German reunification would be great?

I mean it was half serious half joke as Sweden is trying to claim all of Scandinavia in their tree. Japan has as much of a gap as Italy or Britain, but it’s a2g rather than a2a. The F-15 could get guided bombs trialed on US airframes the same way the ROC F-5s got US only trialed loadouts, but I would imagine Gaijin would find some excuse to not give guided weapons to Japan even though the weapons computer wasn’t modified in the F-15J besides nukes being removed.

As for sub-tree there is still a place for Thailand, but the current popular picks are PH and SK. As of now JP and PH are getting closer and closer militarily with the most recent news being that mhi will provide development assistance on afvs and manufacture parts with PH also wanting to buy Type 10s. Japan is also the largest foreign investor in their defense industry. The problem with PH is that it kinda fills air tree gaps, but does almost nothing for the ground tree especially when it comes to top tier vehicles such as SAMs and MBTs.

With the “leak” of a SK sub-tree it seems like opinions are starting to shift and people are getting tired of the politics argument since most of the complaining was from foreigners talking about how mad Koreans would get rather than actual Koreans being mad. The most popular route now seems to be just changing the JP tree into a blue dragon situation, so neither nation is seen as the main one. Its a video game, so I would rather just see more content rather than complain about naming semantics so I see that route as best.

The distinct part about a SK sub tree is that it would actually fill gaps in the tree when it comes to both air and ground, especially SPAA with the K30 hybrid and K31.

Looking at it from the other side Japan would fill gaps in Korea when it comes to low tier equipment. A united Korea tree either goes the route of China where you are stuck grinding the same exact US/USSR rank I-IV for the 4th time. Or it goes the route of Israel with 7 varieties of M48s and 7 varieties of Type 59/T-62 just to fill out content for a tree that starts at rank IV.

Both being US alligned means they both adopted similar equipment and similar geography means similarly designed AFVs.

I normally disagree with these points, but I gotta say, in Leopard 2E’s case, I think Germany could do a good use of it. Germany has fallen behind by a lot in Top Tier and it would be really nice if they could get already at least a 3rd MBT, one that is at least on par with stuff such as Strv 122, and Leopard 2E would be exactly that.

yeah, isn’t that because of the restrictions on the Japanese military post WWII, it’s the reason the F-4EJs don’t carry any A2G munitions, I feel like the best way around that is to retcon some Japanese aircraft with the assumption that they could carry A2G weapons because otherwise Japan’s top tier ground is really going to suffer.

Are you saying that it would be equal to enter 1 tank? Don’t forget the Swedes have 2 Strv 122 and 2A6

nah ok fair enough ;)

I think it would be neat in its two variants: 2E and 2E Tortuga, in a folder maybe.

Unfortunately, I’m afraid Germany’s plans don’t include these tanks :/

Probably just the datamined PSO (heavier 2A5 with no real armor improvement) and the teased baseline 2A7 (which gameplay wise will still be inferior to the 122s), in the mid-long term.

i am so looking forward to that shit show again xD
