Sons of Attila - Rumor Round-Up and Discussion (Part 1)

They said “SoonTm” which might mean it could be next patch already. There are 3 total left, every year has 5 major updates.

Tbf, the Gripen C is miles more advanced than the stuff we have in game right now (except maybe the Mirage-2000). And it would have to carry the AIM120-C, which wouldn’t even be comparable to what we have in game now. They would have to add so much in a single patch to compete with it I doubt it would be so soon.

Like I said before, I expect early variants of modern planes to be added first that could only carry SARH missiles, then the AIM120s and the Gripen being added.

Would be nice if it was next patch tho lol

Mark my words, Rank 8 ground in December
And the Gripen this, or in the next patch

Yeah no way of knowing which patch it will be other than “somewhere in the next 3”. They can easily add some newer F-16’s and MiG-29’s along side the Gripen C I suppose to level the playing field a bit. Or give the Gripen some older AIM-120 version whether it actually used it or not which seems to be a soft requirement so I’m not even gonna bother fact checking that 😆

Finding documentation on Swedish armament is a nightmare. Prolly why its taking so long to add it lolol

You guess dev might be consider all-aspect infrared homing air-to-air missile with IRCCM Maneuvering 30G-40G before introduction of early active radar homing BVRAAM ?

The rb99 is based of AIM-120b

With it being Gaijin, potentially. They have to be doing a lot of testing behind the scenes making sure the BVR gameplay isn’t just ground hugging like it is now, and players are encourage to use real tactics like flying at higher altitudes. If they can’t figure it out, maybe.

Didn’t realize that, but they have the exact same performance the C just has smaller control surfaces for internal carriage on more modern planes so it wouldn’t change much in terms of balance.

You guess gaijin might plan consider new MiG-29 with new radar, IR R-73 & medium-range AAM R-27ER/R-27ET, and new F-16 with General Electric F110-GE engine, new pulse doppler radar & targeting pod from USA and Israel this quarter (Q3) or next quarter (Q4) ?

Su-27 cant be early (i think we cant see prototypes t-10 series in tt ), Su-27S/P cant carry R-77 only R-73 ( no R-60 ) R-27R/T/ER/ET

I was under the assumption that the “SU-27” and “SU-27S” are different variants, but either would work

Su-27S just first serial Su-27. Su-27P same plane, but only AA

Thanks for explaining, I’m not very educated when it comes to Warsaw Pact/Non-NATO aircraft

I guess maybe Sukhoi Su-27 basic “Flanker-A” that look like T-10 Prototype but powered by AL-21F-3 twin engines, SU-27 basic maybe comparable to F-15A and F-15A Baz

but this t-10 not finished, his interest, like event prize, not TT

Sukhoi T-10 Prototype maybe 1st event vehicle fighter aircraft toptier at rank 8

But I wonder Su-27 basic “Flanker-A” might be tech tree ?

since when is 6x AIM-9L meta ?

as far as im aware the gripen has not ever carried skyflash missles so if it wont get AIM-120 its just 6x AIM-9L

Isn’t the Gripen JAS-39 a bit too modern when we talk about fighter jets, lets conclude something MiG-29 is from 1983 and the F-16A Block 15-20 from 1979-82 the Gripen is from 1996 even if you add a F-15 or Su-27 they are both outdated unless you add late variants of both, this is especially bad for germany because they dont have any jets from that timeline, they dont have any jets in the first place the MiG-29A is from east germany, west germany doesnt have anything, and the best east german jet was this MiG-29A if you try to say but there is MiG-29G from west germany, thats only the Nato name this G variant doesnt have anything else besides a different skin, solution would be germany gets a Eurofighter Typhoon from 2006 but then the British mains want the EF aswell.
