Its a MiG-29M if you want to be accurate its always funny when people overreact on simple terms R-73 is a trigger and all renamed soviet jets are a trigger aswell, let alone when the Su-39 was announced they nato horde went crazy there was a gigantic riot, because they thought its super modern, what they didnt knew is that its simply the export version of the Su-25TM.

This thread is often off topic enough as is, but the constant photoshopped leaks are just getting annoying and creating even more off topic discussions.
Someone already said it but I really miss when the mods could come in and yeet a bunch of the off topic discussions and fights that seem to plague this thread. I’ve been a part of it myself tbh but without the mods to step in, this threads really going downhill and it’s a shame

The issue with the MiG-35 isn’t really flight performance or avionics or any of that, it’s the fact that it is from 2016 and would therefore only be using very modern Russian weapons, R-77s and R-73s, there’s no reason to use it over the MiG-29S as the next step in the Russian light fighter line of the tech tree.
Year of introduction does not dictate weapons used.
the riot was because western equivalent wasnt added at the same time, and because russia got another unnecesary premium once again, and russian players were annoyed it is premium and not tech tree
Can we stop with the MiG-35 talk? If you want to talk about it create a new thread. The conversation of random vehicles with no hint of coming and the constant fake leak lists is well out of the scope of this thread.

you are wrong on all counts there, the leak @AlvisWisla was referring to showed a vehicle labeled MiG-35, that being an upgraded version of aa MiG-29M so very much not a MiG-29M, the R-73 is a debated topic some people are for some are against, that is just the nature of adding a new missile to the game, it will be exactly the same for the AMRAAM and the AIM-9X and the Meteor and so on, and finally the SU-39 is not an export version of the SU-25TM just another designation for it (the SU-25TM and SU-39 are the exact same aircraft and only 8 were built and 0 exported) that the Russian Air Force cancelled after only a few were produced due to concerns over whether it was good value and decided to go ahead with the SU-25SM due to it being significantly cheaper.

Atleast it can defend itself from other jets you cant say the same about the A-10.
Both the SU-25T(M) and A-10C are/would be useless in A2A combat, even in the current matchmaker the SU-25T(M) is as close to a free kill as it gets and the A-10C would be the same, that doesn’t mean they don’t have a place in ground battles though and the A-10C should come to the game eventually.

R27R and R77 are useless argument it doesnt have them in the game lol, they were added as pure strike aircraft, they want to add later variants with those capabilies but those added wont get them
still you are taking wish thinking things into the argument that arent a thing in the game, gamewise the A10C is the equivalent

they were never going to add the R-77 to the game just for the SU-39, it may get it eventually when it does come out but it can wait for everyone else to get their advanced fox 3s first, and as for the R-27 IDK if the SU-25TM could carry it, but even if it could it really wouldn’t be very effective
Its already confirmed the R-77 will be added later on.
