I don’t really understand why more people aren’t talking about this, time and time again I’ve been forced to literally sit in a ground vehicle with zero counters to this strategy. The KH-38ML posses GNSS & IOG, which means that Russian players can just spam missiles from behind a mountain straight up into the air, with no line of sight to the battlefield and kill anybody in an AA being spotted by drones, or killing people capturing zones. There is literally zero counters to this from an AA perspective as there is no line of sight on the enemy aircraft and they can just keep rearming at their airfield again, and again. Too many missiles are in the air these days from enemy AA or aircraft so it’s so much harder to tell which missiles are which, just making the issue even more prevalent. The map that is the worst offender for this is Vietnam by far.
It’s time aircraft get attrition and logistics mechanics, it’s simply absurd that a helicopter or plane can land, re-arm, launch and never be in the LOS of the SPAA. While new SPAAs can counter these threats, they also have to worry about ammo count and attrition, and one side simply can’t sustain intercepting missiles forever.
Helicopters in particular are way worse because they carry and fire more missiles than a plane ever can. An Apache can re-arm its 16 JAGMs in 20 seconds or less, launch a volley of 16 missiles in a few minutes and repeat. I’ve seen the clip of an Apache launching almost 80 missiles.
Fully agree, rearming needs to seriously be extended in Ground RB at top tier for aircraft.
Well my SAM only zone idea didn’t even make it past suggestion mods, but i think some sort or seperate spawn distanced from the battlefield with rearms, only for top tier multi-vehicle sams which are literally defenseless.

With the addition of the Multi-vehicle SAM systems, I’d like to propose the addition of a designated SAM spawn for top tier ground RB, and the accompanying balance/gameplay changes for these spawns. As for why I believe these are necessary, a large proportion of current maps at top tier are simply too small too accommodate these systems, resulting in a high probability of being killed/spawncamped before being able to effectively down some CAS.
Suggested Change:
I propose that a separate spawn toggle be added (similarly to Air Spawn/Airfield available to aircraft), available to new SAM systems that cannot effectively hide or retaliate against enemies entering spawns, the reason I suggest a toggle is to give people flexibility here, as people may wish to continue spawning normally.
This spawn could be placed either close to the 2nd heli spawn base (closest to battlefield) or in between the 1st and 2nd heli bases, preferably the first option, as the SAMs would still be in range of most heli-launched munitions, yet out of the range of the map to enough of a degree to grant protection from ground units.
In terms of decoration, just some simple dirt tracks, camo nets, vehicle props and other general scene-crafting (something gaijin is getting good at) should suffice, allowing the spawn to be easily identifiable to CAS elements.
Balancing/General Issues:
Now taking these SAM systems off the ground map would come with some issues, such as overpopulation of players in SPAA (leading to a disproportionate amount of people not participating in the objectives of the match) and as a result I also suggest a limit on how many people can use the spawn at any one time, something around 2-3 at a time, in the interest of teamplay but still remaining effective.

its the missile, its just that counter part dont have them (except japan now ) also what you need to add in you forum, is the usage of weapon behinde cover with no spaa fighting back.
here a exemple of myself in a game. when i didnt use any kh38, but simply glide bombs
its broken as you can mark enemys with splash dmg and getting full knowledge of the location without a drone nor a scout tank
Ah yes,being punished for working with team and squadmates by them scouting or me just putting CCRP on spawn and hoping that slow JDAM dont get intercepted by any of the 4-5 SPAA that are spawned and around. While it might work few times,it doesnt work every time, and it works only with the giant 1500kg and 3000 kg russian glide bombs. Normal JDAMs with 117 kg TNT eq mostly just do hit or the vehicle have spawn protection. Like the only thing those will kill are some SPAA that didnt moved away from spawn which is pretty much their fault.

Isn’t this supposed to be how brimstones or whatever operate but they’re nerfed because “balance”??
