How the hell can the T58 over pressure a chieftain through its sideskirts and everything.
While the FV4005 can’t even kill a Panther by shooting its turret front.
WHAT THE HELL IS THE LOGIC HERE GAIJIN?
Its a Lower caliber HESH, it has less explosive mass, it has a different explosive type that is LEAGUES weaker than RDX.
Why the hell does the T58 get to nuke everything it shoots at, while the FV4005 has to fuckin Weakspot hunt with a 30 second reload.

Lower calibre has no meaning if it has the same if not more TNT filler. Also HESH in general is very inconsistent so don’t even bother comparing between HESH shells.

Albert Einstein still to explain how volumetric works against the rounded shape of a Panther turret mantlet, probably never. The “Panther turret front” is a go to spot to knock the vehicle out but you have to bet if the volumetric will work in your favour. HESH follows a terrible but the logic is same in most high caliber-high explosive filler projectiles: Hit the roadwheels or most obvious flat spots like the Chieftain Mk.5 side as you showcased in the image.
Obviously HESH isn’t supposed to work like that but that’s what you’ll have to work around to make it useful. Just like the saying “Think before speaking”, while using HESH consider the following: “Think before shooting”, are you going to aim for a casual HE spot? Waste of time, go for the inner side of the roadwheels if possible, that’s guaranteed a score with both FV4005 and T58 Heavy Tank, that’s what you do with these high caliber-high explosive HESH slingers.
Gajin uses some guys hobby website for ballistics don’t expect much from them.
