To simulate bad weather?
I mean, what’s the point in complete darkness, where you can’t see even your own plane.
…to simulate bad weather, one you cant see in, even your own plane.
there is Radar equipment on planes as low as BR 2.3
simple solution: fly above or below the clouds
yes it’s hard but also fun because everyone gotta adjust to the new conditions so the balance changes entirely
Okay, but this is a game, not some hardcore training simulator.
There are also a lot of planes under Rank V that doesn’t have any radar systems - except some Dorniers and other twin engined night fighters - so they can’t orient in that dark. The whole darkness concept for those planes and players is sensless.
1.0 with the Swordfish Mk2, even if it’s not usable in-game at this time.
Bad weather this severe seems far too common though and should probably be 2 - 8% of matches.
indeed but if were talking about WW2 planes, unless you were in all-weather interceptor, you wouldnt be taking off at all in the first place, so this argument kinda goes out of the window.
bad weather is there simply to put spin on the gameplay, and I highly doubt that such dark clouds would cover 99% of the map.
“indeed but if were talking about WW2 planes, unless you were in all-weather interceptor, you wouldnt be taking off at all in the first place, so this argument kinda goes out of the window.”
I don’t know what did you want to say with this.
I don’t say the darkness is caused by clouds, but there is darkness, especially under 1500-1000 metres in dawn or evening.
It is like night battles, but earlier gaijin said that night battle are only available only for BR 8.0 and above.
that arguing that Warthunder isnt a hardcore training simulator is kinda moot. If Warthunder was a hardcore training simulator, you wouldnt be taking off the airfield without all-weather interceptor in bad weather in the first place.
But you do take off in bad weather, since Warthunder is a game.
Yes, I can agree.
Fun fact, since I wrote this complaining topic, I haven’t got any dark maps where I can’t even see my plane.
What in the negativ skill is this?!
I meant usable radar on the Do-217Ns
Which are borderline useless.
Unless you need them and know how to use them
I’ve found and engaged targets with them in sim before
I know exactly how to use them.
That doesn’t stop them from being borderline useless.
The clouds over the deserts every single match lol
My first day in Iraq snowed.
