Some questions about cheating being banned

Why not just ban machine code. Cheaters don’t care about game duration, achievements, and tech tree progress, they just need to register or buy a new account after being banned.

Better anti cheat requires deeper permissions, and isn’t perfect either. For some reason people get all uppity about companies having access to the kernal or whatever. Like there isn’t a million different entities and backdoors on your computer or the NSA keeping a file on every person on the planet.

I am assuming you are talking about hardware bans. The main issue is that the hardware will end up in second-hand markets.

Imagine buying a pc only to find out that it is banned from war thunder.

The more ways in the more ways to fail.

Yeah Microsoft could get hacked and push out a malware update. Why would I want multiple chances of that happening?

The price you have to pay for less cheaters in your tank gacha game

I’ve only seen 1 person I can call a cheater in 4000 hours I really don’t know how people seem to run in to them so much.

Same. I played on the US and now SA for years and I am not finding them. But people are acting like every match has 8 cheaters.

The only ToS breaking stuff i came across a fair bit was during the peak ARB base bot era. Wallhacks and aim bots are something i have noticed.

There are 2 types of cheater in this game:

  1. The blatant cheater that cheats for his own fun. This type of cheater doesn’t care about getting banned eventually, he will stop only if he gets bored or a different factor like cheats are unavailable. Much like any other game out there, their accounts are burners so banning them is a temporary solution.

  2. The powerleveling cheaters. People use cheats to grind trees very fast, to the point multiple account can be ran on a machine. The point of this is to then sell them afterwards to some 3rd party buyer in illicit forums. Ban waves are extremely effective against this type

Not sure if you meant hardware ID related bans like steam does, there are loopholes to this as well.

“Mashine code” or hardware ID can be cirumventet too.

Anti cheat is working as is the comunity finding those people.
So saying gajin is doing nothing is worng.

Problem is, they come back.
As said before, hardware ID can be masket.

Its nothing new, a evolution of tracking is needed to combat cheaters. Users and the devlopers of said cheats.

For that, its not just a anti cheat programing solution.

  1. All paysafe pruchases need to stop.
  2. Gajin accounting would need to be involved as is gajin CEO.
  3. If a cheater is found, his baninking data and the banking data behind it, needs to be banned from buying new GE and premiums.
  4. All accounts linked to the banking data need to be flat out banned. Even if they have not cheated.
(in case of paypal you have to have a normal baninking account behind it to use it, can depand on country)
  5. Gajin lawyers need to be involved, cheating is not any more like in the 90´s some cool kids wirting scripits and programms, its a buissnes.
A bussines that is demaging the intelectual property of other companys.

Said people need to be suwed for demages done to a copany(repution los, los of customer satisfaction, alianating new customers) I bet even the cheat devs dont pay taxes on there side hustle. So get said nations taxation agencys involed to get them. screw them over royaly.

Its not 1990 any more, cheating is whole industrie in it self.
