Solution to One-Death-Leavers / One-Death-Quitters Problem

You can’t stop it when certain maps and configurations are free spawn locks/camps for the enemy team, not being able to leave spawn is not a player issue it’s a game issue

Congratulations, you just killed the game faster than Gaijin ever has

Yes.

I blame the developers directly for 1 death leavers,

Maps restricted,
Tanks performances nerfed,
Traction - ridiculous,
Match Making - A WHOLE load of crock going on with that.!

No wonder people don’t bother if they stay in the match anymore, whats the point, heck even Im doing it now, I see bias, rng bias, clear onesided game play - Im out.! Screw other players in the match, its not worth my effort and or enjoyment to be bothered with rediculous game play that is “perfectly normal” apparently! NEVER USED TO BE LIKE THIS!!! so what changed.!

Absolutely!

THIS is quite literally the state of this game now!!! There’s no balance at all…

You are not the only person who suffer from ODL in battle.

People who spawn only one time in ground should only get 50% of XP and Lions. Even the free backups and in top tier the free vehicles doesn’t solve the problem with the leaving idiots. So in my opinion they should be punished than, if other things doesn’t work…

There goes the prem verhicles double XP and SL because they are number one ODL.

Chsnge in map rotation for ODLs? How did I miss this. Like, how is the map rotation change in a wya to negatively impact their game play?

Cool story bro.

I ocasionally leave matches if i just get specific bad maps, like Alaska and literally ANY urban map, being forced to fight in CQC like im playing COD in my tank game isnt fun, Tanks dont belong in cities

The map is an issue, but there are always people who ODL no matter the situation. The map is only a very small part of the problem.

Another Idea, Put the players who one death leaves 5 Times in a row, only in Teams full of such players, so players who want to play are not punished with such idiots in there Team.

Since everyone found out that the Ho-Ri Prototype & Ho-Ri Production will be removed from the Japanese tech tree, a huge number of players have been frantically grinding the Japanese tree. From BR 1.0 to 12.7, the entire game is full of Japanese ODL players. You run into them in almost every match. Gaijin has to do something, otherwise they will eventually ruin the game. Although this should ease up after they are eventually removed from the game, ODL is a bad habit. Once it forms, it is very hard to break, and it spreads throughout the entire game.

For me its the biggest issue, i want fun maps to play on

This is the result of absurd imbalances, awful maps, random damage and penetration models, and the addition of high-end premium vehicles for players who just want to level up quickly. It’s all the devs’ fault, since they’ve directly or indirectly made it disgusting to play entire matches just to give away points and kills to players who are already benefiting from the game. There’s a reason this didn’t happen 8 years ago, and now it happens constantly.

Today I had a funny match. Shortly after it started, my team was wiped out, with at least seven players using ODL and two dead leave (TDL). I managed to kill four enemies before dying and deploy another tank, when I realized the enemy had also started using ODL and TDL thanks to a player who deployed a plane (a premium one, by the way) and killed 15 enemies, and we ended up winning.
Apparently, that’s the balance the devs like, haha.

ODL happens in every game, not just in WT, and it always will because there are thousands of reasons why a player might leave a match.
The core issue lies in the game mode design itself, not with the players.

If WT’s game modes didn’t have this stupid system that forces players to leave the match when they run out of spawn points, this wouldn’t be an issue at all. And even if a player leaves for whatever reason, the game should allow a new player to take their place, keeping both teams equal, at least in terms of player count. This is how it works in most other session based FPS games, but for some reason not in WT.

In Air Sim Battles they already have a working system that allows players to respawn repeatedly as long as they have enough SL. New players can also join matches that are already in progress.
They are now testing similar mechanics in the Nuclear Escalation event, so perhaps they will eventually apply this system to other game modes as well.

I have already suggested a new alternative game mode for mixed GRB matches that would address this issue and some others, but for some reason the mods haven’t passed it to the devs yet.
Check it out if you’re interested, and vote if you like or dislike the idea. You can also leave a comment to bump the post :)

it will continue till AIR is no longer in ground mode
