Italy does need a SPAA without a doubt, however one thing I think should be corrected (if I’m not wrong). I don’t think Aster 15 was fired from Italian SAMP/T, only the 30 (or higher?). But that’s not that big of a deal as other alternatives exist

Yeah the only time aster 15 is mentionned it’s sea launched but seems like the dev will go for it .

oh boy, i wanted to double check and he basically said :
“For nation that don’t have SPAAs, there is first of all France and Italy, with a large abbreviation i can’t remember, i think it fires a missile named Aster […] it’s in the works and will most likely come next major”
His colleague : “That’s insider information for you”
Now it means different scenarios are here :
- They don’t know SAMP/T doesn’t carry Aster-15
- They don’t care about it and will add Aster-15 anyway (my money on this one)
- They want to add Aster-30, but misread its specs
I wonder if we’ll get Ground Fire 300, nothing like a 400km range AESA radar (overkill ? never heard of this concept)

I’ve suggested it, but I think for vehicles who have newly introduced mechanics only get approved minimum after the update release

Afaik SAMP/T can at least technically use Aster-15 without any issues.

In on itself it doesn’t mean much, but i think that’s an other case of translation being lost, you can hear him say “3 country”, which would mean “For later we consider adding new things (SPAA) for 3 countries”.
Italy and France being the 2 first ones, i assume the one mentionned here, aside Italy and France, is the UK

France should get VT-1 buffed for the time being, it’s underperforming and this change would help Sweden and maybe Germany as well.

an alternative to the SAMP/T Mamba would be the MICA VL for france and the Sky Sabre for Italy and even Great Britain
there are tons of spaa that could come to war thunder and they should with all the new air craft but they should also give the exsiting spaa there buffs and more real data. zo it would be even for spaa to kill heli’s and aircraft and visa versa.
