So we will get ANOTHER russian spaa?

Oh wow, it’s 12.7 on dev. Pika pi…

A vehicle I won’t use outside arcade ground maybe.

fake radar performance? what? Irbis is a really strong radar IRL…
the missile racks arent fake, just not mounted on the Su-30.
the fake missiles are the IR Kh-38s which… fair enough i guess.

Might be but a 2 decade old PESA having faster scan speeds than modern AESAs is still fake

Well but the SU30 is all we have in game

And you know this, how? Its not like the Su35 radar is considered bad or weak in ANY corner of the west…Also the AL 41 engines in the game dont have even close of thrust the engines actually have.
38MT, yes fair point even though…nevermind.
double racks, umm no idea. Would love a devs answer on this one

if all you count is how old a system is, sure.

lets ignore that Irbis-E is an extremely strong radar in terms of power and the amount of modules on it, compared to the AESAs on planes like the Eurofighter (a radar not in service yet mind you) and the Rafale.

Gaijin has gone from “did it ever equip it?” to “could it equip it?” recently.
Technically the racks could be used on the Su-30SMs… but they haven’t.

As for the Kh-38MT… the seeker exists, the missile exists and is in use… but the seeker and missile haven’t been used together.

Correct, its an aircraft that serves a different purpose thus no real life point in mounting double AKU-170. Considering the sheer weight limitation it can EASILY carry double racks

Im not, its PESA vs AESA not old vs new.

We have a lowballed number for the scanspeed of the CAPTOR E which Gaijin promptly ignored and put in the slow stuff we have now.

Complete Conjecture.

Are we gonna ignore the eurofighter fighter situation who are based on future upgrades ?

You mean the ones which have actual documentation and are actively flying compared to an SU30SM2 with IRBIS and AL 41?

Captor-E isnt in service yet.

Ibris has been fited and documented on a su30mk2

And al41 has been seen in factory mounted on a su30sm2 test bed.

Unlike eft who most of them dont even have the aesa radar.

Even f-ing India started upgrading their SMs with AL41 engines in 2024. SM2 from the get go was planned to be upgraded with Irbis-E and AL-41s hence the name SM2 compared to the SM (see, no 2 there) Along with them the Su27 SM2/3 are also getting the same radars (not sure about the engines)

In what world of logic would anyone make a SM2 UPGRADE and leave the aircraft exactly the same as the variant it is supposed to replace?

Also never seen a single seat f15c with the 4 aim120 pylons

Tested and flown on the aircraft which is enough for Gaijin

There are more EFTs with aesa Radar than SU30SM2s with IRBIS and AL41
Its ok that the SM2 gets those 2 things, they are compatible after all but dont dare comparing it to the EFT with actual documentation and tests

Oh yeah how can you tell ?

As far as i know. Human cant possibly see through radar cones

SM2s with Irbis E and AL41 are in service

EF isnt, yet none is burning down forums over it

Ah so were working on pure guesswork now? Im basing my opinion on actual documentation.

There is not a single bit of proof that there are any SM2s in service with both of these things at the same time.

Because in service doesnt matter as evidenced by the plethora of prototypes in the game. What matters is tested and technical compatibility which checks out
