Same error message as the screenshots above. Noticing this after the latest Graphics Update. Must be something wrong with the update
The only thing you did that I didn’t try is using normal quality textures instead of hq and it really may be important.
Maybe you also did clean install but you didn’t mention it too.
I used normal textures just now it didn’t help. Maybe you completely uninstalled your game at one point or you’re using not a 576.88 driver?
Yes I tried every possible way, crashed right now too, thats why I headed up to the forum so yeah DDU and clean installs not helped my case, but in fact this only happening in air realistic battles, in ground rb the game running fine but its whatever.
Only thing in my mind is I’m using a custom 23H2 windows version which cannot be updated (its in legacy mode bc this way I dont need a password kinda like under win10), but I dont want to reinstall my whole Windows just to get the same crashes, it wasn’t a problem in any other game why would it be the problem in WT ?
i got 4 crashes in the span of 1 hour, dx12 has not been kind to me
In that case, are you running any compatibility mode?
I dont know what do you mean with compatibility mode, its on the default ig, I never switched between compatibility modes, but maybe I should do it, if you suggest that.
I just crashed again too… worst possible time, in air RB heading into dogfight with an enemy
Nope, I only deleted the cache and compiledshader folder, used ddu to remove the gpu driver, install 576.88 and went from HQ Ground model textures to normal ones. Also I’m still on Win10.
Hey all, i got a bit of info for you all.
For those still having issues after trying the fixes in this thread:
Please create a bug report on the issue with as many of the necessary files as possible.
You can bug report it here: (Gaijin.net // Issues)
A guide on how to report bugs can be found here: ([Navigation] Technical Knowledge Base | War Thunder Wiki)
In this bug report there are more instructions on which files are wanted: ( Community Bug Reporting System )
Here are some more instructions on how to create a crash dump: ( https://support.gaijin.net/hc/en-us/articles/200071181-How-To-Create-A-Crash-Dump-After-Game-Client-Crash )
why give the same advice over and over none of it works its the latest update nothing else
Because it has worked for some users so it’s worth trying. It takes maybe 15 minutes at most to test those things and have a chance of solving it on your own compared to sending a bug-report and waiting an unknown amount of time for a possible fix that you could have solved on your own.
It’s ALWAYS worth trying the most basic things first before diving deeper into an issue. It has so many times ment that i fixed an issue i had in 5-10 minutes instead of spending hours on a deep dive into a subject for no real reason. That deep dive could still be necessary in the end but it’s always worth those few minutes at the start for a chance to avoid having to do all that hard work.
ok fair point well made, in this case just using dx11 although not ideal is a workaround until they fix the issue, for me at least.
Well. Thats my 5th or 6th crash today. Ive tried all the suggested fixes but none have worked
So bug report created
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/MpKt50MRU72E
and another. So thats 2x consecutive matches
Edit: 3 matches
Sad that none of the things worked but GREAT that you made a report on it!
I recommend others do the same, in cases like these It’s often good to have more than one report as more files from different systems with the same issue in them can make it easier for the devs to narrow it down if it is a hard issue to find.
Yep. The wierd bit. The last 2 were precisely when I used freelook to check behind my aircraft.
changing to dx11 should let you play without crashing on ARB
