In one system it was impossible to get everything, in the other it’s not. Everything else is secondary to that.
As I said, you would obtain 2 vehicles in the old system! Four vehicles were given, with one of these four vehicles being rank II or I. But you would get it by completing a stage in some vehicle from the air or ground session (never naval).
You could obtain 2 main vehicles, not all of them, but 70% of the vehicles by playing 5 to 6 hours a day for a week.
As mentioned, you might feel like you never got everything, but that’s not necessarily true! You focused on what you wanted and left the other vehicle as a secondary priority. Many players in those events obtained 2 main vehicles in the old system because they focused on both tasks and never left the achievement of the ground/aircraft vehicle for the next day, alternating between “air day, ground day,” which made you miss out on the second vehicle by refusing to research both in one day throughout the week.
Yes, exactly.
And these 2 vehicles were always worth above $30 to $40 each, which was enough to make the old system better both in terms of value and time invested.
No. Trying to make money off of vehicles you’re not even going to play yourself is not relevant, and is always a terrible time investment anyway.
Ending time-limited unlocks and the market as a whole would be signifiantly healthier for the community as a whole (even if it won’t happen).
Believe it or not, many people wanted the vehicles and didnt do the event just to sell stuff on the market.
The market was healthy; you invested the same amount of time as everyone else, and everyone knew exactly that the vehicle would be worth those $50 to $100.
The value of the vehicles is as relevant as the time invested because the prices at which vehicles were sold in those events were enough to obtain 2 premium vehicle packs, saving you months to reach the top tier of the nation you aimed for.
The market was much healthier with the previous events. Currently, the market is declining, which you can notice with the current events under the new system given to us players.
It’s so bad that the previous vehicle didn’t go above $17. You literally buy 2,500 GE with a week of invested time, playing 5 to 6 hours a day.
In the previous system, you could make a profit of $90, sometimes $100, with the same amount of time currently spent in the events.
In the old system (especially in the part assembly events), players who knew they didn’t have enough time to obtain the vehicle because they were busy with work and family, and who knew that the assembly event was more exhausting than the regular events, would sell parts they obtained from the boxes you earned at the end of each match.
And currently, these are the players who support the current event system, even knowing that in the previous one they could get 2 vehicles worth $50 to $40 with the same amount of time invested in the event.
You keep listing prices for sone reason. I dont care what they sell for. I am not running “price/time” when grinding. I am trying to get the vehicles of the event.
I wouldnt mind these style events if they made it possible to get all vehicles.
So if there were 2 or even 3 primary vehicles they wanted from an event. They had to pick 1, maybe 2 and hope that the ones they missed werent too expensive to buy afterwards. This new systems means
every vehicle can be obtained if you want them, without back breaking work.
It’s the same amount of time as the previous events, but before, you didn’t have to obtain a coupon for 700,000 points or 500,000 points for a Tier II or III vehicle.
In any grind-heavy game that has events, you will never be able to obtain all the listed vehicles. This is because you would break the game’s economy, causing the company to incur losses since the production of the currency itself would cost the company. It’s normal for all companies to make the player buy their currency, either to obtain the third vehicle or to buy a package from the store of a certain value.
Only if you want to sell the vehicles. You dont have to if you want to actually keep and use the vehicles.
I kept citing values because you mentioned the “healthy” market, which it is not. This can only be observed by citing the value that the events generate for the company and the players during their current events.
But if this bothers you, then I won’t cite values. However, it will be difficult to prove the point without talking about them.
Exactly, you not only harm players who obtain vehicles to sell but also harm the market by delivering FEWER vehicles than before.
You benefit players who won’t contribute to the company’s economy, won’t support the market, and create a new system where the time invested in this system is the same as in the old system but would obtain many more vehicles for the same amount of hours and week given.
You must have confused me with someone else. I have not mentioned a “healthy” market. Only that many people wanted the vehicles and didnt care about grinding to simply sell them.
It seems like you are arguing from the view point based solely on selling the vehicles to buy packs.
I am on the opposite side which is why i dont care for what they sell for or how hard it is to make the vehicles sellable. I want the vehicles and any event that makes it impossible to grind them out is bad imo.
The exact same number of vehicles are being delivered. About 10-11 per year. Just spread out accross the entire year. 1 at a time. Instead of 3 at a time, and only realistically making 1 obtainable via free means. Typically if you want the other 2, you either have to put in a serious amount of “overtime” or spend real money on it.
By having only 1 vehicle per event. Every vehicle can be acquired for free. Meaning for 90% of the playerbase, this is a positive change. The only people affected by the new system are those that made money by selling the crafting materials.
They make more money from people buying event tokens
Only the “free” bonus vehicle you got which you previously mentioned. Thats it. minus that you actually get 3x more vehicles with the same amount of effort you previously had to invest to just get 1 vehicle
On the contrary, I didn’t just mention players who sell to get packs; I mentioned the buyers (those who want all the vehicles), the company, the company’s currency, us who sell, and the investors who, in this case, are the ones who always leave a certain amount of Gaijin Coin in their wallet (because they don’t make events) to collect vehicles without having to make any effort other than investing in the currency with their own money.
You’re just denying what I’m covering and trying to explain to you in other words.
First a massiv eban wave must happen to clean the farm bots cheaters adn so forth from teh palyingf ield. then the even can happen. Preferbly with a update that changes a lot of the code so cheats need a longer time to adjust.
Events you cant complete are never good. Forcing the use of the market rather than having it as a back-up option is not good.
Events should allow for players to complete them and provide a method to obtain the vehicles for those who are unable/unwilling to grind the event.
The old system didnt allow that while the new one does. Only thing it hurt where those who grinded to sell.
Exactly this. Events being designed so that the ONLY way you could realistically acquire all vehicles was by spending money. Is a bad system for a “Free-to-play” game that already has a problem with a “Pay-to-progress” economy
