Two Slow, badly armored MBTs outside of their turrets, with Long reloads and arguably poor shell performance, are apparently equal to a Way faster and more agile, Fully composite armored covered MBT with a faster reload, and way better shells…
Sure Gaijin, Sure. Its not like the Chieftains already Can’t UFP a base model T-64, and now you are gonna make them fight 10.3s?

What the fuck ?
T-64A can get UFP’d by DM23, let alone L26.
Also untrue.

Could be worse, like Gaijin thinking the Object 435 is equal to the Chieftain Mk 10
L23 but yeah
Mk 10 dumpsters anything less than a T-72A with little effort

I was about to say this. The Obj. 435 and Leo A1A1 are 9.0…

Not in game right so I cant check but doesnt L23 clean the UFP of T-72M1?
I don’t think it does with the applique plate, I’ll have to check
RNG pens a T-72A
Non-pens a T-72M1
just checked the T-72A with addon armour, it’s showing yellow but it’s ~440mm of armour vs 410mm of penetration point blank, it’s not going to pen (well, it probably will point blank because a Mk 10 would be aiming down but w/e)
I’d always go for the idler wheel shot anyway
Also worth noting that Chieftain Mk10/900 are two best performing MBTs at 9.0, followed closely by Chinese 9.0s so I doubt they’ll struggle that much at 9.3.

idk about the 900
that going to 9.3 is probably as bad as the 435 at 9.0
We’ll have to wait and see.
More likely you’ll never see Chieftain 900s again

Yeah, no point using the objectively worse Khalid
The Mk.10 would be nebulously fine at 9.3 if it wasn’t for the constant 10.3 up-tiers. But hey, that’s compression for ya

Now for them to add the ultimate Mk.10 /j
Spoiler
If you thing 3BM-15 or 3BM-22 aren’t better shells than l23, then you are daft. L23 is very Ricochet prone, and had poor performance against composite armor.
that is the entire reason l23A1 exists.
Id much prefer the FV4211
The first use of Chobham armor. On a Alluminum version of the Chieftains hull, creating what was basically a Chieftain Mk5 protection wise, But only weighing around 30 tons.
They will. The are mediocre tanks on all fronts, its just that British Mains aren’t brainless.
Every time British mains find a genuinely enjoyable tank to play, this happens.
Crusader MkIII? Nerfed its mobility HARD making it barely able to even get up to speed, or turn. Despite the fact it was notoriously fast and agile, even capable of 40+ MPH when the speed limiter was disabled.
The Conqureor? Nerfed its APDS into the ground.
the Chieftain Mk3? Nerfed its mobility, Sights, and APDS, and moved it up in BR for no reason.
Fv4005? Totally wrecked just specifically ITS HESH, While the Americans get the T58, which nukes everything.
Tortoise? Made it so any moron in a Tiger 1 can one shot it through the cupola without even thinking.
EVEN THE TOG II, it got its ammo made stupid volatile for no reason, so even glancing APHE hits to the turret will nuke the thing.
At this point I’m Surprised the Polish Firefly hasn’t been nerfed, because that thing flat out is one of the best 4.7s in the game.

They’re actually quite similar
going back to the T-72A UFP 3BM15 can’t pen it (540mm of protection through worse slope modifiers) and 3BM22 can’t either (450 protection vs 420 pen)
That was my thought, I play 9.0 fairly often and I think I’ve seen maybe 3 of those things.
its mainly because they are litterally slower than the Mk10 in every way other than top speed, Slower to accelerate, Turn, anything.
The things take FOREVER To get up to speed, meanwhile the normal Chieftains with the l60 are actually quite quick in that regard.
Why swap away good armor, and half way decent mobility, for worse armor, and 7mph more top speed, while not being able to turn on a Slope like the M60s and Leopards.
