SO! Just in case you did not know yet, premium vehicles DOUBLE the effect of SL boosters! During the SL Crate events I can make as much or MORE SL’s than I did in the previous 2-3 months. If you really really want to push the SL crates, I would highly suggest getting premium time. I just get the 180 days of prem time 2x a year when it goes on sale for 50% off, only $20. $40/year, or $3.33/month. (If you don’t already have prem time, and don’t mind spending a little, you could get like 1 month for the crate event, and then get the 180 day thing off webstore during the Anniversary sale.) It is NOT on sale right now, so $40. But on 50% sale drops to $20: Gaijin.Net Store - Premium account for 180 days
With prem time+prem vehicles+all the SL boosters you get during the crate events, you can easily get twice as many crates (and twice as many chances at vehicles) than if you didn’t have prem time, or use prem vehicles.
Second advice for those SL boosters, do NOT double up on the SL boosters unless they are going to expire. And do NOT spend all of your SL’s on crates during the first day/week. I only buy more crates when I run out of SL boosters. The RP boosters are like 2x or even 10x more common that the SL boosters, so I will double or even triple up on the RP ones so they don’t expire like crazy. But the biggest boost for me was forcing myself to spread out the crate purchases over the entire month so that I could use up the SL boosters and get MORE crates over the course of the event.

I LOVE burning all my “extra” SL’s on crates 😄 I have gotten so many extra vehicles, one of my favorites was the BMD-4 (and then got the BMD-4M when it was added.)
Most I was able to build up/accumulate during a crate event was ~100m SL’s 🤑 got like 10 or 11 vehicles 🥳 I think I got pretty lucky with those ones, was over the “average” vehicle per SL %. Overall average seems to be ~12m SL’s per vehicle. But it is still totally random. During that 100m SL burn, I went like 40m SL with no vehicles, then got 2 or 3 within ~10-20m SL’s. I don’t stress about it too much though. With premium time I always have plenty of SL’s, and I also LOVE all the backups I get. Finally got up to over 1,000 backups last time, and down to “only” 935 now 😂
I burn through a ton of them during the crate events too, so I can use my favorite premiums more often while using the boosters. Especially the 50% SL boosters 💰
