"Sky Odyssey" Update Trailer!

10.0 I’d imagine, .3 below the Mirage IIIS C.70, maybe 9.7, if they leave out the RWR

Ever since the Greek Battle Pass came out, I told you the entire sub-tree would be copy-paste, and well, that’s exactly what happened. I’m not saying they’re bad vehicles, but it was clear that Gaijin wanted to fill gaps with minimal effort by using Greece.

That’s what I was trying to say, lacking a gun doesn’t automatically make a plane DOA. Red Tops and Falcons each have their own pros and cons and the flight models of the F-102 and Vixen will have their own pros and cons.

it does for hawk 200 RDA

Which RWR did they mount on the F-102A?

The RDA has an F-16 radar and Skyflashes at 11.3, that’s not DOA

My Hawk 200 RDA begs to differ. The plane transforms with the Skyflashes.

All the images or reports I see say it can only fit a single Aim-26 in the central bay or two Aim-4s (so it can carry 3 Aim-4s and one Aim-26 or 6 Aim-4s and no Aim-26.)
Unless there’s pictures showing it mounting two Aim-26s.

you are forgetting that the F-102 has an engine that is at least 30% weaker on a delta wing airframe if you’ve actually played the f-106 you would know just how bad the acceleration is from low speed now imagine that to an even worse degree on a plane that cant even reach mach at low altitude which limits its already poor missiles even more, also what does having IRST have to do with anything its not an R-27ET you cant lock from 12km out and stealth launch, the super falcon has an effective launch range of barely 1.5km.

you are also disregarding how debilitating not having proximity fuze is the Red Top is slightly worse than an AIM-9G during its burn when it comes to effectiveness thanks to its massive proxy fuze and explosive mass i play the sea vixen more than enough to say this meanwhile the super falcon is honestly worse than an AIM-9B you can literally roll out of the way of a super falcon.

10.0 with a barely useable gunnery and just two good missiles, no flares, rough
Probably 9.7

it sees hornets in a full uptier and is hardly faster than an A-10 in practise.

you rely on players being lobotomised rather than the aircraft itself

Nevermind lol
I’ve read in a couple of places that they retrofitted RWRs to the F-102s, but they all refer to a book that I can’t find lol

IDK, the F-102A’s FM is not very comparable to the F-106A at 9.3.

It would be abysmal at low altitudes.

I spotted two issues in the video. First, the missile launch tube models are clipping and partially overlapping with each other. Second, the search radar is missing its gap-filling radar.

Copy paste ahh update

Spain could still come as an ITA subtree proper instead of being around the place. Greece I can see why ultimately did not.

I was basing that on the Mirage IIIS, but with the most likely false assumption that the F-102 could have an RWR fitted, so yeah, 9.7 seems fair for having two AIM-26s

Having no guns, I don’t think fighting at low altitude would be a good idea to begin with.

The best use-case would be boom-and-zoom, just with missiles instead of guns

Only reason to be higher would be the missile, which only works at high altitude but altitude is a significant advantage at early jets. Still very mid though, idk

Why would Spain be a subtree for Italy?

It’s not too late, my friends…

We have been waiting for independent Turkish technology tree for years, but it is always copy-paste sub-tree or vehicles coming. After a while, there will be no vehicles left to add to the game…
