Skill distribution across teams. How is this possible? Why does one team get ‘noobs’ while the other gets pro players? Why does one team lose without scoring, while the other evenly distributes kills among its teammates?
Because skill isn’t accounted for in the matchmaking process.
So you’re saying it’s a complete coincidence that 14 people are complete newbies in one team? And these aren’t premium players.
It is. With teams it is just luck of the draw but alot of the time it depends on nation and BR you play as that can lead to more players with the lack of experience playing the same thing. Some games I get a team that steam rolls the enemy team no problem then other times my team is gone in the first couple minuets with no kills.
Because this is somewhat random matchmaking.
And it is nice. We don’t want things like skill-based matchmaking. Such thing is easily abused, and if you are a pro player you will be constantly teamed with noobs in SBMM.
Also time of day, which day and which server. In EU; I observed a sudden spike in the average team contribution for U.S air playing at 23-01 ish over right after people get back from high school hours (17-19ish).
Yes, yes it is. Cause Rank isn’t taken into consideration because rank aka your level doesn’t mean anything, that can go up for how many medals, achievements, etc to have obtained. So you can have a level 100 perform like absolute dog water simply because their level never meant experience.
What you are observing is not a teamwide skill disparity. Your team in this situation was completely routed. I’m guessing your team failed to capture and hold any ground on the map, were surrounded and picked off with no way of defending themselves.
It happens from time to time, there’s probably a lot of good and bad players on both sides but it doesn’t matter how good you are, it’s hard to defend yourself when you are surrounded and disorganised.
Not quite. Some nations just have worse players in general.
and that’s how it should be
I don’t believe it. Why do I have enough brains to think where to go and where not, where to take an advantageous position and where it is better to slip through due to speed. In the first 2-3 minutes, the players on my team simply held down the “W” button and drove towards the enemy without stopping.
Bro you want SBMM? really?
How bad you are that you need SBMM to be carried by some teammate every battle?
You need me to convince you that 1 death Andys, bots, and wallhacks are a bad thing?
Better still, this is fun?
I would argue not. So before you claim I’m bad, consider the average experience.
We are talking about MatchMaking, not something else.
1DL, bots, cheats all appear in the both team at the same chance in a random matchmaking system. This is exactly the advantage of random MM. Now you claim that you are above average. In a Skill-based MM the chance you are paired with bad players is actually MORE than the one in random MM. If you find this fun I have nothing to say.
Did I say I was above average? No. I said those effect the game and the enjoyment. But my point was that saying “it is nice” when things are decidedly UNnice isn’t necessary.
