Simulation… is it really simulation with these planes?

Chinese P-38.

China is often on the axis side (red side, the side with germany)

Ah, its a shame sim now treats USSR and China as axis. Thats why i never even thought of that P38

it varies. You can have lobbies of US vs USSR/GER, you can have USSR vs GER, you can have US/USSR vs GER.

Usually I see people put USSR/china on allies during my typical playtimes at my chosen BRs (3.3-4.7). However, it’s like a 65% to 35% ratio.

Actually, it would be quite easy to take the historical era into account and use aircraft from allied nations of that era. Let me explain better: there would be nothing wrong with seeing an American Spitfire or a British Mustang, just as much as an Italian Stuka or Bf-109, or a German C.205. Alliances have changed now, so it seems consistent to me that there are modern aircraft shared between allied nations.

Of course, the problem of matchups remains, since I could use an Italian Bf-109 but play against Germany — but at that point, personal consistency comes into play.

For example, I limit myself to playing on Italy and Germany servers against the Allies or URSS and Japan against the Allies. I’m not interested in any other mixes…

On the subject of immersion breaking line-ups… this is mixed battles/tank battles in SB. The post war tanks are bad enough but seeing jets flying around is just stupid. I genuinely look back at this picture and laugh.

Blame the elitists for not wanting increase in friendly marker distance (It was started 750m in 2013 because the game was fixed axis vs allies & simple no missile either)

The concept of mixed plane factions will never go away, the solution is on the other side.
