Simple infantry addition for Mid - Top tier Ground Arcade/Realistic Battles

Greeting friends.

Here I am thinking about implementation of infantry for Ground Arcade and Realistic Battles. First of all, I want to keep it simple, that means no micro managing the infantry and that type of things.

So what I am proposing its infantry added as fixed sentry turrets, what this means? means that the infantry deployed will stay in a fixed position and attack any enemy that enters into its combat range. You can not control what the infantry does after deployed.

The deploy method being similar as the ammo boxes, waiting 10 secs for the infantry to be deployed, and only being possible if close to your vehicle and no objects that are stuck in the deployment zone (this means you can’t deploy infantry inside buildings or under rubble.

The size of the infantry squad being only 4 soldiers. And only one of them can carry the AT weapon at a time, if the guy carrying it dies, his other squadmate takes over the weapon. Before being deployed, the APC/IFV should have modeled the soldiers in the passenger compartment, that means if the vehicle still didn’t deploy the infantry and gets hit by a sabot in the passenger compartment, they all can die before being deployed.

Vehicles that can carry them

For now Im thinking in only ground vehicles (that means no helicopters for now), the only ground vehicles that should be able to access this new mechanic are the IFVs and APCs, for example:

Armament for the infantry

The infantry and the armament they can carry should be researchable in the modifications tab, at Tier IV of modifications.

There will be 2 types of armament you can equipe your infantry with. Light-Anti-Tank and Heavy-Anti-Tank weapons, each of these 2 being a separate modification (being the HAT the latest modification, and needing the LAT researched first). The amount of ammo they can carry its 2 rockets per soldier, so if they are 4 max, you get 8 shots max, but if you lose 1, then 6 shots max.

The range of fire of the armament depends of the type, being LAT weapons 200 meters, and HAT weapons 800 meters.

Examples of LAT

The main characteristic of the LAT its lower precision and range, so if the target its too fast the rocket could miss (unguided).

Examples of HAT

The main characteristic of the HAT its that the rocket its guided by the operator (SACLOS), so it has way more precision. I was thinking in FnF weapons like javeline and spike, but then I saw that some natios (russia) doesnt have this shoulder fire IR anti tank weapons, so I stayed with fixed tripod fire weapons, like if emplacements.

So in conclusion, infantry being deployed only from IFV and APC vehicles with 2 researchable weaponry (modification tab), light anti tank for low range and precision (to protect caps of ambushes in urban escenarios), or heavy anti tank for longer ranges, more precision and even more damage. The amount max of soldiers deployed its 4, and each of them carry 2 rocket/missile munition for the weapon.

Would you like infantry to also carry AA weapons as stingers or iglas?

I believe this would be too much, but if there’s actually a reason behind it I guess it’d be okay. For now I don’t think it’d be completely fair.

Yeah maybe aa not. I was just curious but then realized it would be too painful for cas players.

Just wanted to see community opinions.
