Simple Broken Matchmaking Solution

Here is a simple solution to the broken matchmaking problem. If you see the game is horribly one sided, DO NOT RESPAWN. 1. It will not make the match as good for the winning team. 2. It will save SL on repair costs for the losing team.

you can turn matches around even with only a few tickets left. Ive done it a few times and I’m not a good player.

By bailing out of a match you’re screwing your teammates over from having that chance at a clutch win, you’re more of a problem than when one side steamrolls if you do that

You also earn more RP the longer you’re in matches.
Though I do wish it was more.

points for your time alive in matches does feel quite low, it may be because I have no idea how War Thunder clocks in match activity because it seems to never reflect how much of the match I was actually there for

I’ve had my team win games where we had most of our tickets gone and the enemy held all 3 objectives.

What happened? Bunch of players flanked around, backcapped and then created space for the rest of the team. I’ve had this happen on one of those “rural village with 3 capture points in a line” maps. Ardennes, maybe?

I’ve also had the inverse happen - we’re hard winning against the enemy and suddenly, a few well placed bombs flush our big threats out of their sniping positions or nuke a bunch of tanks hiding in cover near an objective. Suddenly, the guaranteed win turns into a struggle and a loss. I’ve had this happen very recently on Japan thanks to a PE8 bomb lmao.

Although most often it’s just the enemy taking their time to slowly whittle away defences and then roll in. Sinai is extra cursed about this in my experience - whole team rolls into the town, all 3 caps taken. Then tries to spawn push and all die. By your logic, it’d be a guaranteed win since the match seems super one-sided for like the 5-7 minutes before it’s lost… for the winning team.

Another game, enemy team had a breakthrough on A and was farming the norther spawn. Some folk managed to countersnipe the tigers, jagds and panthers and the game came out as a win. Literally, my team was being spawn-pushed and we won.

Use all your spawn points that you can. A game is not over until there’s gross number disadvantage - if you’re the last 3 players left on your team, sure - ditch it. But don’t be the guy who causes the situation of “only 3 of us left, everyone evaporated with 1/2 deaths.” You got 5 crew slots for a reason. Getting 3 spawns requires touching the cap or getting an assist.
