Sikorsky Skycrane...Hear me out

Obviously this isn’t an attack vehicle. However, it could add a strategic element to the game.

CAPTURES: Once you get a cap, you have to hold the field for a set amount of time and the Skycrane is deployed at the other end of the field. After another set time the Skycrane deploys 3 tanks. Now the opponent has to destroy the tanks before it can capture.

BOMBING: The Skycrane is deployed to an allied base to do repairs from bombing damage. It is limited to a percentage of repairs it can do and how long it takes to begin repairs depends on altitude. Repairs are erased by additional bombing.

AIR ZONES: A hybrid method of capture time, altitude, and the deployment of AAA instead of tanks.

There are alternate vehicles that could be created for each country. The effectiveness would depend on the vehicle’s crew and the player would actually have to research and purchase the vehicle in order to deploy it.

Please let me know what you think. If done right, I think it would be a fun addition.

That lowkey sounds fire. We could then add m113 and other support ifvs to the game.

Well… about that… it was used to drop “Daisy Cutters” (a 15000lb conventional parachute bomb) to clear helicopter LZs in Vietnam:

While not technically use for ground attack against enemies IRL, it could be a funny high risk high reward CAS heli with that.
Also, rather then the ammo box mechanic we currently have it could carry a container full of ammo to drop into the battlefield that rewards points for the pilot based off the amount of ammo allies resupply from it.
