It will be really hard to get a lot of support for thread about removal of copy-pastes/trophy vehicles from sim lineups tho. And I have no idea how.

A temporary solution is always with the camo, the Thais could have the tropicalized camo and then China maintain a desert camo as the default. Digital camo can be for China then Thailand could have the Flecktern type camo as the basis for the designs for the other camos (winter, etc.)

Would be so fair on forest map

We already have so many copy paste and similar vehicles in game, that in my opinion, the only real and reliable solution going forward will be to have teammates marked on the map at all times.

The lack of any real ability to keep track of teammates, especially with modern vehicles, is in some ways more unrealistic than the way Sim works currently

At least for top tier, most modern MBTs have some kind of C&C / BMS / C4I (like the 10NW) which should allow for rather accurate real time location sharing if added. I think it would avoid friendly fire to a certain degree with similar vehicles on both sides, you could also allow players to add markers and not just pings, but maybe that would be too complicated…

Soviet MBTs don’t have it so we can’t have that in game

A better way probably is to just let the commander of your tank identify it automatically whether its a friend or foe. It shouldnt be instant though and no markers. Maybe just the commander saying “Tank Ahead” then depending on commander level for him to shout “Friendly Tank” or “Enemy Tank”. Probably even have to keep the binos on said tank for it to work and not with a gunner.

That would make the commander somewhat more important other than being an extra crew and perspective for Sim.

In other news, Philippines just used its SPYDER Air Defense System from Israel during the 2024 Balikatan Exercises together with US Patriot Air Defense System. Could be a good premium sidegrade if Thailand’s VL MICA Air Defense System from France is added in the game.

How I wish there could just be a time for a joint Cobra Gold - Balikatan Exercise. Even the Fuji Live Fire Exercise will be hard pressed to compete. Anyways just a fantasy of mine.

As long as Gaijin doesn’t consider multi-vehicle systems, Thailands VL MICA wont be added and the best possible SAM left would be STARstreak and RBS-70 on *“SUV”*s.

Spoiler

grafik

If Gaijin considers other ASEAN countries as possible fillers as well, then we have e.g. Singapore’s or Philippine’s SPYDER as an option.

I giess going by the “trialed” standard applied sometimes in game right now the Roland M3S might still be an option.

Spoiler

Though it is still somewhat unlikely, as I couldn’t find any mention of it offered to Thailand outside of the Wikipedia article, with even the source cited by Wikipedia not mentioning Thailand.
But if there is any more information about this vehicle for Thailand specifically it’d be nice to see.

I would have listed it as possible addition if there was any reliable confirmation that it was at least tested by Thailand, but there is nothing I could find.
So until we find something (if at all), we have to assume that the Roland M3S never had anything to do with Thailand and we should focus on Type 11 as well as other ASEAN country options (best options being Singapore, Indonesia and Philippine).

Does Thailand seriously not have any other Stryker Variants in use? 130 units and none were fitted with at least a 20mm on top? Anyways its so funny how this Hanuman Guardian 2016 exercise shows a funny attempt at uparmoring a Stryker with some wooden planks.

That’s a Combat Identification Panel, not wooden planks

Damn thats why it looked way too thin and rigid to be just a bunch of planks

Other countries could definitely be on the menu, although tbh we’re still technically not done with domestic Sam’s for Japan, and the Type 81 could even receive some buffs for its currently missile as well.

When did this calendar start? When Buddha was born or when he died?

พุทธศักราช (Buddhist Era) or พ.ศ. (BE) started after he had attained Parinirvana or nirvana-after-death, aka after he died.

Starting the Buddhist Era in Thailand (พุทธศักราช) It is not the same as in other countries. which starts from the day the Buddha Parinirvana 1 day but Thailand will start counting B.E. 1 after the day the Buddha Parinirvana, almost 1 year, starting in January. To be consistent with contacts with others countries that count CE and January 1st is the start of the new year.

According to the tactics of the Thai Army We will place the M1126 Stryker ICV in the 112th Infantry Regiment, serving as the Mechanized Infantry Regiment. Therefore, with the scope of duties Therefore, use weapons adequately according to tactics, that is, use weapons on vehicles and weapons of transported personnel. Mainly attack infantry targets.
