Should there be a transfer of research progress in vehicles?

This is a discussion about an interesting point that I’ve always found strange since I started playing Warthunder – the lack of an option to transfer progress already made in researching a vehicle in progress to another if you change your mind and want to research one you think is better.

An example of this, and one that I think really deserves this option, is regarding squadron vehicle research. I think many here have at least once started researching a squadron vehicle but halfway through changed their minds and decided to research another, only to end up having to start all over again because there’s no way to transfer the process.

The question is: do you think this option should exist? Do you think it could improve the progress of both the research tree and squadron vehicle research? Comment.

Maybe not in the TT but 100% in squadron points, I have hundreds of thousands of points in vechicles that i regretted putting them in

I would love to see this, but it will likely not be implemented since it wouldn’t make Gaijjin as much money

This is something I really want to see. I have 480,000 in the Russian T-80 but I ended up regretting it and want to research the Swedish Gripen.

Yea I have all around the place, 200k in the Israeli Mig that I regret, 120k in the American Aussie Abrams that I also regret because I started the British Aussie Abrams and like in 4-5 more tanks I have 40-100k points on them

There’s something they could try to make money from – squad vehicles don’t have the option to research lower-tier vehicles at maximum efficiency because they’re free. They could sell talismans so they can do that. It seems like a good way to profit from squad vehicles.

I also have points in the Australian Abrams. I also have points in others, for example 80,000 in the BMP and 140,000 in the F-117. 🫤

Certainly not a bad idea, and one that I would support!
