A sustained rate the mig23 MLD doesn’t win every time.
Especially seeing as it has worse sustained rate than an ML or M as it has slats to improve AOA so yeah

We can always blame compression or that the C-200 was made premium but we are not very likely to change that.
Pretty sure we’ve all suggested this muppet should put the energy behind an F1C (Early) instead of making uptiers for the 11.7 mirage essentially unplayable by removing all aspect AAMs.
Last I checked, a mirage F1 doesn’t have to manage wing sweep to keep up with a Mig 23.

The F1C we have is not exactly the first production series but an improved variant, the original F1C is not equipped with countermeasures or RWR, these were quickly installed and retrofitted on the first aircraft

Just enough AOA to pull in for the shot more easily still enough rate to stay ahead of F.1.
In a sustained fight MLD will get nose on.
If you extend you likely get clapped or have to run to the airfield and leave the.match assuming it’s a 1v1.

Hardly.
In an ARB match the mirage will beat an MLD relatively easily
With the caveat that if the MLD puts 90% of their focus on wing sweep, it could edge out a win but that’s a lot of effort. Still not remotely guaranteed, however. But it also is the Mig 23 most reasonably rated at 12.0 if it weren’t for a few of the things above 12.0

It is not as hard as you make it out to be.
Once we get to rating speed it is more of a matter of time than having to edge out anything.
