Should the Me 410 B-6/R3 get it's interceptor spawn?

The Me 410 B-6/R3 (BR 5.0) is found in the third line from left to right in the german air tree, the main differences with the versions beforehand like Me 410 A-1/U2 or Me 410 B-1/U2 is it’s armament, new radar (very niche) and a strike spawn, the last one comes with no reason apparently since this plane doesn’t get a climbrate needed and neither does it obtain any secondary weapons, the closest thing is the armored targets belts on the MK-103 30mil cannons. I understand one planes like the BF-110 where they actually get a decent climbrate but the Me-410s don’t get such benefit and thus they use their interceptor spawn quite well.

But what do you guys think? Should the Me 410 B-6/R3 get an interceptor spawn like the variants that come before it on the heavy fighter line?

If P-38 can get one why not.

It’s literally a night fighter like the P-61, so it should have one to even has a chance to intercept bombers.

Calling it a Strike Fighter just because in WT players use it to ground attack makes no sense.

But discussion here aren’t going to change anything about it.

You need to make a suggestion but it probably won’t get approved, even though you you will get told by mods to make a suggestion to have it changed.

So in the end, it’s pointless.

Should be vice versa, because the Me 410 was never used as interceptor.

It was used as bomber, fighter bomber, heavy fighter, reconnaissance aircraft, torpedo bomber and fighter against sub marines.

2nd attempt, first reply deleted by accident (fat finger😂)

I suggest giving the plane an air superiority fighter (ASF) spawn like the P-61 - the ASF spawn is similar but on certain maps significantly higher.

You might have noticed that you never meet more than 5 fighters with IC spawn - but especially US teams have sometimes 5 IC spawn fighters and 2 ASF (P-61s) fighters.

This aircraft (and the 110s) suffers in an A2A role from the strike aircraft classification and subsequent spawn location as the spawn is too close to the main targets - bombers.

The rather bad climb rate prevents them from getting at least at co-alt before they merge - an IC or ASF spawn behind the airfield would give them enough time and a realistic chance to intercept heavy bombers at co-alt or from above.

The most obvious reason for the current classification is that this “role” is consistent in all game modes - the spawn cost (SP) for the fellow Ground RB players are usually higher for a strike aircraft compared to a fighter.

I do agree for this specific case - but you might agree that gaijin does not care about irl events and uses air spawns in Air RB mainly as balancing tool.

Best example is still the Ki-102: We have the strike aircraft version (57mm - but without confirmed bomb loads) implemented - and the plane is classified as interceptor - the IC version had a 37mm cannon😂

Have a good one!

That should be solved by bumping up the spawnpoints for the full HVAP or AP belts

XP50 got its removed so i guess not.

People moan about stuff and the game slowly gets worse and worse.

Bro thinks a 410 with interception radar is the same as an xp50

So its better than the xp50 then?

The XP-50 was OP as f.

They removed the air spawn but they might as well have just bumped it up in BR.

The Me 410 is a flying brick with guns and radar to go after bombers.

OP to bombers, nobody else

It out climbs pretty much any fighter in its BR range, while still getting an air spawn.

How was that not OP?

Theres plenty of planes with airspawn that outclimb fighters. Yet their spawn remains.

After killing the bomber in the xp50 i always wished i was in a fighter instead.

Climb, bully bomber dive, compress is the 50s life

Skill issue TM

planes… you mean heavy bombers?

Or the only one left is some late p38, which don’t turn as well.

Climb, bully fighter dive, bully lower fighter, repeat.

No im talking throughout the BRs.

7.0 us jet CBA looking up its name vs my spitfire for eg.

they turn well if you use your flaps well, the nose just handles very awkwardly imo maybe that’s why I see so many P-38s missing their passes

Imo the last one is a BnZ monster especially with the air breaks

*And airbrakes for one single pull, yes, maybe i should change this to ““nose point” as well”

But considering how xp50 pulls, i would just leave it there

Tell me you would talk about Cannon Canberra next reply.

what problem does that thing have? I haven’t reached the jet age yet

Fights props so is relevent to the lame excuse the xp50 got its airspawn removed.

Wyvern says hello
Hornet
Etc etc

Harrier also recently gimped by the airspawn - getting screwed both ways lol

That’s another example for toker, another craft which can have a height advantage by airspawn, and at an even high br with totally different combat environment.

Got my eyes on this craft for a pro friend did well on this and successfully conquered the nose pointing. Amazing skills.
