Should the f14D be added?

True but the F-22 is well known to use the AIM-9X

Only source providing somewhat of a capability for the F-14D to use the AIM-9X

Is it actually?
I have some photos from CVN-71 cruise in Sep.1, 2005 to Mar.11, 2006 but, never seen F-14D had AIM-9X.

Mostly, Tomcat squadrons(VF-31 and VF-213) had BOL launchers, LANTIRN, JDAMs during service
in Iraq.

one of pilots in interview said that they had them
aswell as nothing limits them tbh

Absolutely not I dont want this to be another F-4S situation where the best variant america used ends up being a premium/squadron
Like the others said if you want a squadron vehicle suggest something like the F-14A late or similar

IMO it would be better to add f-14d (proposal) with aim 120s, maybe a hmd and such as a tt vehicle, then just the plain ol f-14d with its irl armament as a squadron with a cool skin

I’d be fine with that. If they modeled RIOs at all there wouldn’t really be a need for HMD though. Something as simple as this: Mouse designated radar lock for 2 seater jets with strict radar functionality would be enough without being “unrealistic”. Maybe implement the pre lock symbol you get without cyclic radar and boom, Radar HMD.

Problem is different software from lima and mike.

Maybe, physically possible but not sure tomcat even supports 9X seam lock.

Although it has been confirmed that AIM-9X was loaded on CVN-71 at that time, it was mainly used by Hornet squadrons.

Yeah and give UK the F-14D since the Brits nearly ordered them before the F-4 Phantoms.

Tornado for US bc it was a contestant for the program that led to F-15E?

Nah, 9X has ability for legacy input

No.

I was talking about the F-14D Super Tomcat, however the US were considering building their own Tornadoes under licence if the F-14 were expensive to maintain.

So a What if theory.

Cmon bro

C’mon dude most of the UK has brought American junk such as C-17s, C-130s, Chinooks, H-34s, even Commonwealth countries under British the flag like the Australian F-111C which was gonna being the replacement for the TSR’2, so why not add the Royal Tomcat in the UK tech tree as a Premium?

It may not happen but im just curious.

Sure but it has to get Meteor missiles and ASRAAMs when they come to the game

Fair
