Should Leopard 2A4 get DM33?

I mean, i’ve nearly 400 on the M1 alone dude.
I don’t have a 60 percent loss rate, never mind 80 percent like you’re harping on about.

It’s because half the time you’re teamed up with Russia.

If you have a 60% winrate, divide it by half. That’s the true winrate against Russia solely.

And tell me; when the round gets Gaijined or when there are 6 of them or when you have no gun or when you don’t one shot them (thanks to empty space or spall liners, which happens- not every autocannon vehicle is oriented towards you in a way that makes them easy to 1 shot). What are you supposed to do? In the T-80 you can at least sit there and have a chance. The Ariete? Goodbye.

And the T-80B has 3BM42; a round with only around 25mm less flat pen @ 10m @0 degrees. DM33 is not a godsend round.

all of the things you just said are “what ifs” its like saying your in a t80b and its like what if you cant get gun depression what if hes behind you what if you cant traverse your slow turret intime its all just “what ifs” your argument has nothing to it

And the assumption that DM33 is a godsend round is, again, an assumption. A rephrased “what if”. Against a lightly armored vehicle it makes no difference if its DM13 or DM23 or DM33. The round does not naturally make up for the lack of armor. The lack of armor is not a “what if”. It’s a lack of armor. It’s a natural, large disadvantage. You will see autocannons. You can be frontpenned by them, rather easily. No What Ifs here.

never called it a godsend round and if your going head on with an autocannon vehicle in an ariete your doing something wrong also the what ifs is the multiple scenarios you made up like "what if theres 6 of them like ok what if theres also 6 arietes and what if you dont one shot them? go back into cover or “what if” they cant pen you

How am I supposed to avoid a head on with an autocannon vehicle on this map. Please tell me. Especially when I am going to be slower than every autocannon vehicle in the game. How do I avoid getting flanked or facing them frontally? Do tell.
450px-MapLayout_Conquest3_PortNovorossiysk

Even not on this map; how do you flank a faster enemy? 95% of maps in game don’t have good flanking routes anymore. Even the ones with them odds are you are facing an autocannon frontally.

Regardless of the circumstances, the Ariete is a PoS. It has grossly worse armor performance then the T-80B and other contemporaries. The T-80B is not nearly as much. Again and again you are acting like “well you shouldn’t x and y” as if x and y are easily avoidable, when in reality they aren’t.

very easily avoidable if your aware listen for engine sounds and dont just rush at people i dont see how your gonna get in a front on engagement unless your an idiot on that map

Meanwhile russians top tier mbts are mostly rushing cause their armour is superior.
But NATO tanks need to be played “strategically”.
Fuck that double standard.

yeah but at 10.7 not so much

the best? The russian ones are much more noob friendly imo

Because all of them were mid-mediocre.

Only the T-64B and T-80UD were already good before the reload buff and guess what? They moved up in BR.

This is truely some “it came to me in a dream” type of stuff.

Then again, not too suprising from a likely conspiracy theorist.

Oh the T-80B has also very little chance, gunner optic usually does the trick with a 30mm bushmaster.

Just because they are more forgiving doesn’t mean they are better. Skill floor vs skill ceiling. T-series have a lower skill floor while the 2A4 has a much higher skill ceiling. This means that the T-series are more forgiving to play for worse players, but the 2A4 has much much more potential for good players.

what 2a4, and other leopard 2 except 2a7v’s and strv 122’s, need the most are reload buff, why on earth do leopard 2 deserve 6s aced reload when other 120mm gun carrier get 5s? br for br there’s nothing special compared to 120mm mbt from other nation

That’s a much smaller area then the whole lower front plate, to be fair. And not the one shot that the LFP has proven to be in my experience, at least with the dispersion of the 30mm it’s not exactly the easiest thing to hit (though yes, it is possible).

That is true, but at the same time it’s also a spot that you always have to show if you want to fire.

They buff reloads on vehicle families, so the 2A5-2A6 getting a seperate reload buff likely isn’t happening.

That is fair. I will say that the Arietes turret ring can be penetrated, but its much much harder to hit thanks to the 30mm dispersion. You would need a spot on hit in order to hit the turret ring and disable the tank, which given the unnecessarily wide dispersion pattern of the slow firing Bushmaster 30mm is nearly impossible.

I don’t think that’s true though.
If we talk about 10.3/10.7 T-tanks, worse players can rely on a great shell and frontal armor those tanks offer.

That said, you also need to be able to get your gun on the target before shooting, which isn’t something those tanks excel at due to limited gun handling and depression. Their lack of overall mobility will punish overextending pushes as well. Reload speed and thermals aren’t consistent among them so won’t comment on that.

On the other hand, tanks like M1 or 2A4 have some situational armor but that’s about it.
Their shells are pretty mediocre so aiming will be required on plenty of targets, but at least aiming is a very streamlined process at that tier with access to LRF and very fast rounds, which give you pixel precision. You’ll have to learn weakspots for like three or four different armor profiles though.

They have great gun handling and depression, so new players can utilize more spots they come across and also have better reaction times. Mobility is also great and definitely can serve as a way out when your barrel is shot out or something, while also reducing your exposure time when traversing certain terrain.

All of those have their own cons that can hurt new players, mostly depending on their playstyle.
