I used to play arcade when I started but switched to Realistic two years ago. Sometimes I do go back to arcade but I can’t get any kills there because everyone can see me.
How do you get killed ?
Maybe you should just try and stay behinde your team and take relax position.
Depend on your gameplay. But always fell free to leave.
It just a game and you can alway try other game in your free time
Maybe you can chare a link to a replay we can watch to give you some tips?
If you log in to the main war thunder website, click “community”, click “replays”, check the “Replays including my participation” checkbox and click search to see all your5 most recent matches. Once you find one you want to share you can click the “Copy the replay link” bottom left and paste it here on the forum. Everyone can then view the match in-game to see if they have any more specific tips for you :)
How are your crew levels?
Okay i’m doing that right now. wdym by crew levels?
Your crew level in your tanks.
These help so much stuff.
I don’t know, but I do add those crew points every so often.
Did you put them on the right skills ?
Like realod or turret rotaion ?
yeah i do reload and commander skills. and driver too
Good and also what br are you having problem ?
here’s a couple battles from my current 2.7 Sweden grind:

every br. there’s no one br i’m good at. i even get smoked in reserve against lvl 5 players lol.
Can you tell me what tactics do you often use.
I am on the phone cant watch the replays sadly
usually it depends on the tank, but i like to move along the borders to flank the enemy, or i stay slightly behind the front lines and try to support teammates from behind cover. i prefer light and medium tanks to heavy ones.
Try to no flank. You will face 4 to 6 enemy and you cant fight back.
Also dont play rank 1 to 3. Try some br where its more easy for you to learn.
I would suggest something like a 4.0 or 8.0 br.
Also no top tier. Max is 10.3, 11.0 if you pushing it.
okay i will try those, thanks!
Try to stay in one place and dont move.
Play as a sniper not as a assault tank.
When you have and earned the aim control and know where to shoot.
Thats where you can start exploring other tactics.
In my personal opinion the most important ones are:
-
Tank Driving (your tank reacts faster to your inputs and has an easier time accelerating and turning)
-
Keen vision (effect how far away from you enemies are rendered in, if your crew can’t see the enemy then they won’t be shown on your screen)
-
Targeting (effects how fast your turret turns and aims)
-
Weapon reloading (effects reload speed)
and then the survival ones:
-
Field Repair (effects repair speed when your tank is damaged)
-
Agility (how fast your crew switches places with each other if one of them gets knocked out)
-
Vitality (How much damage a crew can take before being knocked out)
Try to spread out the survival and keen vision ones as they count the average of all your crew.
Avoid the “Leadership” one! It costs way more XP to put points into than you get out of it compared to just putting things in the other options.
My best personal tip is to play slow and sneaky, if you stand still and don’t move your turret you are less likely to get spotted by enemies, standing behind bushes and hills also help with this. Use your binoculars to look around, they increase the distance you can spot enemies and you don’t rotate your turret so you will yourself get spotted less often.
Try to look at some vehicles in the protection analysis to see where the most common weakspots are and then aim for those in matches.
You gotta find the mode you love. And it took me 2 years ro become a avarage player. Try with russia, sweden will be difficjlt for you. And your not nad, you dint know were to gi in maps. Watch spartangaming. He shiws exellent spots in wt
One question: Why do you play War Thunder?
Just to become a pro player?
Or maybe because, despite all its flaws, it’s still a unique game that can give you an adrenaline rush with its many vehicles and exciting battles?
I’ve been playing WT since 2013 and I still love it.
I have my own clan and have made some good friends from all over the world.
Maybe it’s my age (almost 63), but for me, the game has brought a lot of positive things into my life.
Of course, there are also bad days when you quickly need a few new WASD keys, but those are pretty rare.
Try looking at the game from a calmer perspective, and come back when you’re curious about new things.
Constantly moving up will always eat away at your SL (I personally got premium but that’s a personal choice).
I decided that the best for me when I was starting out was to play a lineup at a BR that I was comfortable at and I could build up SL. Germany has a decent 5.7 to 7.7 lineup. Pick a light tank, a medium or heavy tank, and a SPAA and then one CAS if you want. That’ll reduce your repair/ammo, spading and crewing costs, and you’ll get comfortable learning maps and tactics. It might get boring but at least you have SL to play, which is the only way to get better.
Stop checking and just play. I played the 5.7 to 6.7 BR as I found that as good balance between ground and air for ground RB. SPAA are very effective to counter CAS.
Also being the top of the leaderboard with the most kills isn’t always the best team player. I’ve played light tanks and finished top and even got nukes, by simply capturing, causing damage to enemies, scouting, and repairing teammates. You’ll see players (and my team) who’ll capture a point and then move to the enemy spawn to camp, and meanwhile the enemy team is behind them taking points back.
Your approaching this a little too serious, it’s just a game.
