Depends on on your play style if you like armor then it is for you.

Extremely solid and one of the best viable Tier IV heavy tanks at BR 7.0
You get a powerful and accurate 105mm main gun that offers the best balance in overall reload speed and firepower compared to the T30/T34’s 120mm and 155mm cannon.
T29 has decent armour protection (mantlet and turret face is very strong with a spall shield inside), making it quite strong in hull-down positions and hill peeking playstyle. The front hull is weaker for the lower plate sides (which you should be wary are known weak spots against more experienced players).
It also gets 3 x .50 cal heavy machine guns (which are super useful against light armoured vehicles, low flying planes, and even quickly disabling enemy tank tracks).
The T29 is most definitely worth it.

Yes it is good tank, and if you can access the marketplace I highly recommend the m551 76mm to go along with it
If you don’t face Soviet 100 mm or 122 mm cannons or French 120 mm you’ll be fine.
is it that much better than the TT T34? is being .3 br higher worth it
A bit of trivia on the T 29. When WT first introduced it, the mantlet value was double what it was supposed to be making it impenetrable. Suddenly was a very popular premium. A few months later the value was corrected and it became mortal like the rest.
It’s one of the best premium heavy tanks out there. It’s best used as a hull-down vehicle.
It has a far more reliable gun, with a much better reload so yes it is worth it
