Should Great Britain Australian M1A2 Abrams?

its a m1a2 with du and gen 3 therms. So they could just update the m1a2 in game and model it correctly.

I was gonna bring that up lmao
America has one (1) Australian vehicle that being the Abrams

The UK has… more than that. It’s almost like they worked together or something

Well I believe the M1A2 in game is supposed to be like the first ones from the mid 90s, and the SEPv1 is the “updated” one. Hence why I said SEPv2, because that would be the one most similar to this if it loses the ERA

Not gonna lie, none of the vehicles mentioned are really top tier worthy except maybe the Ajax.
They do NOT need any more challengers but I can not understate how desperately Britain needs more mobility that’s as fast as the chally2e at least. When it comes to that? In options they are extremely limited unfortunately which is why people turn to Commonwealth. Only possible option I’m tracking that isn’t commonwealth was a Vickers Mk7 with a Rheinmetall 120mm L/44

And since South Africa is already in game they can give the rookiat MTTD its dm63 equivalent, M9718 iirc, which is significantly better than DM63 as it’s a more modern shell and move it up in B.R by a lot. I forgot if it’s the blowout panels work in game. I also don’t see anything wrong with them getting the Abrams as a squadron vehicle(Britain should of got it from the beginning tbh)

They always pick the earliest abrams to model. The sep v2 irl is way different. The one in game is closer to the 1997 abrams than anything.

Almost all modern Australian vics are made and derived from American, from the lavs, ardvark, f18, bushmaster PMV, m88a2s, M777, uh60, ch47, as-well as several drones and beach landing craft. Using the “they worked together” argument doesnt work. America bought 2a4s and helped build the targeting systems on the Spanish 2a6s. Just cause ppl work with each other doesn’t make it theres.

Gaijin have no issue adding Commonwealth vehicles to the British tree (and top tier) when it suits them. They understand that simply just adding more Challengers isn’t going to make diverse gameplay.

As I said, there’s already 11 Australia vehicles in the British tree now. Technically there’s 12, but that one isn’t for sale anymore.

With the Skink being given to the US now with no history or politics behind it simply thanks to player demand there’s literally no reason for the British to not get an Aussie Abrams. There just needs to be enough players asking for it.

well done genius, now when you realize that the American Abrams with the Austrailian flag on it is a U.S EXPORT MADE IN AMERICA, unlike the other ww2 planes and tanks you listed.

The American tech tree already shares over a third of their tanks with everyone while the British also have more research vehicles than them (82 vs 78), That alone is reason to let the M1’s stay unique to the tech tree they where created in.
Half of those copy-paste’s are just because the other nations bought 1 and left it in a garage for its entire life without ever using it, The Swedish Sherman for example isn’t even a version they even had.

The Brits are getting the Ram in return, They can share that one mediocre AA.

Say what you want. Gaijin has literally just proven that nationality, history, and politics doesn’t matter. They openly admitted the only reason they are giving the Skink to the US is because of player demand.

If enough players demand an Australian Abrams Gaijin will do it. They don’t care what you or I say. It’s as simple as that. I’ve come up with my own rules for Commonwealth vehicles, but Gaijin have no consistency. This was my rule by the way:

  • Unique Commonwealth vehicles go to British tree.
  • Imported Commonwealth vehicles with no modifications go to parent tree. IE: Abrams to the US.

“Getting a Ram in return” doesn’t mean anything if that vehicle should have been in the British tree in the first place.

Also, I don’t see how it’s a fair trade considering how one is a freely available TT vehicle with no ties to the US other than “Sherman basis thus it’s ours” and the other is something you have to pay for regardless if you own it or not that as said above should have been in the British tree from the beginning.

Thanls for proving that Us Abrams should never end up in British Tech tree.

Britian has nothing to do with Abrams and should stay like that, if you wanna keep going down on this conversation then get ready to see Leclerc S2 and M1A2 in Swedish tech tree which will make Britian even more helpless than it is against them.

Oh well, it’s not up to me. I standby my rules. Gaijin has no rules. US has nothing to do with the Skink either, yet here we are.

Just like how Britian has nothing to do with JAS39C or Adats or other similiar vehicles.

Thats why M1A2 shouldnt even be discussion,Us already has it as Squadron vehicle, Uk doesnt need it.

Not up to me. It’s up to Gaijin. I told you my rules.

I’m just putting the cards on the table. It doesn’t matter what you think, what I think, all it matters is if enough players ask for it. That’s it.

Then discussing about M1A2 is already pointless since you made it pretty clear that your opinion doesnt mean anything.

Nor, equally, yours. Someone should just make a poll. Kill the topic with votes once and for all.

You’re right, my indiviual opinion doesnt mean anything but when most people who participates in this thread agrees with me then Its clear as a day that how community feels about this possible addition.

Wouldn’t be 159 (now 160) posts if it was as simple as that.

And almost all of them disagrees with your opinion, thats says something.
