Should blueprints\Prototypes vehicles be added?

War thunder currently have some paper or prototype vehicles, relatively alot, examples like flakpanzer 341, ho ri prototype, and even the E-100 ( only chassis built ), which is really frustrating since those vehicles are bounded by Either events or battlepasses, which are not researchable via TT nor accessable freely.

Me personally: I think they should add blueprint\prototype vehicles because:

  • other similar vehicles been added ( Blueprint\prototypes ).
  • war thunder will run out of vehicles eventually for mid and high tier vehicles.
  • War thunder community need a researchable unique accessable vehicles that are available.
  • gives a chance to open a door for alot of in future vehicles possibilities and chances.
  • provide a new unique previously suggested vehicles researching mechanics.

Whats your opinion? and what is the vehicles you wish to be added?

thanks for reading.

Well, blueprints that are possible to build can be added.

Yup! agree.

Not those that are literally impossible to build though.

and mechanically complex.

Is there vehicles bp or prototypes you wish to get added?

Yes the E50 and the E75.

WoT is down the hall on the left.
Never/partially built vehicles tend to have… “optimistic” specifications that are hard/subjective to judge and can unbalance the game. Or if nothing else, they tend to trash historical context by becoming “time machines” with their performance BR index. Plenty of examples already in game. There is no need to make it worse.

Just like gaijin has told multiple times:
partial Protoypes → OK
PAPER → NO.

And the Flakpanzer 341 was since quite a time removed and Ho-Ri is planned for removale when a replacement of sorts (or even the historical accurat and partially build HO RI (iirc)) is ready.

And no gaijin wont run out of stuff anytime soon, i already for germany alone suggested well over 220 vehicles.

reasonable.

but its still like “what If” situation if gaijin decided to add some vehicles that have realistic production and not defy physics or mechanical engineering ( maus left the chat ), while i understand it may be somewhat unrealistic to come to its battle rating or armament due to being literally bp or prototype vehicle, it may offer a chance for addition of some normal decent power vehicles from different nations.
like the type of vehicles that are just decent in firepower and characteristics from the chosen nation.
and not like too broken or smth.

Damn thats alot of vehicles for germany, let the other nations.

In my personal (authenticity focused) view: No, blueprint vehicles and systems/armament should have no place in WT.

Yes, there were precedent cases, but those always were very controversial when added, sometimes then were withdrawn again, which was also controversial, and so on…

Not really worth the hassle, if you ask me…

Relatable, and true.

P1500 Ratte? It gun existed so…

No. There are pleanty to add. And World of Warthanks is next door. Even as gabfiller paper vehicles should not been added. Again, how do we understand papervehicles? As prototypes in paper or half build? Half build tanks should be added woth propper resaerch. Like the STRV KRV FRIM SWEDEN.

Should probably seperate blueprint and prototype rather than grouping them together.
I think Prototype vehicles are fine and have a place in game, granted they had some functionality (rather than something like a wooden mockup). Blueprint vehicles, probably not. Blueprint variants for certain vehicles is something I always find cool (F-2 has lots of concept upgrades, but none accepted besides domestic armament), but they’d also have to be realistic. EG I’d find the F-2 Super Kai and F-106J more of a realistic addition than something like the E-series tanks.

The issue comes down to how do you balance them? Not to say balancing for service/prototype vehicles in game now are very good, but how would you bug report them? The blueprints are hard as hell to find and there’s limited information on their performance and such. Hence why concept variants would probably be the only option rather than blueprint vehicles.

Blueprint/paper vehicles =/= prototype

We already have hundreds of prototypes in game. They’re completely fine.

💀 lol.

No to blueprints, yes to actually built prototypes.

I cant stand seeing things like the Ostwind 2 and Ho-Ri already, they were not built despite false claims on this forum and aren’t even in a plausible configuration for IF they were to be built. More paper vehicles just turns WT into World of Tanks with a slightly more complex healthbar system

Im perfectly ok with built prototypes, they are real and either are or were in the flesh at one time in history. They make perfect candidates to fill out tech tree gaps and complement the service vehicles where they have shortcomings or a lack of possible options (GBT155, MBT70). They do need to be second class additions after service vehicles, but very far ahead of subtree copy-paste slop

Before they add blueprints they shall just get everything that existed in the world first.
