crappy map design shouldnt be “fixed” with unrealistic changes to ballistics. Put thick concrete walls in the way of spawn. but even that cant fix spawn camping as they will wait for people to filter out of the safe zones
you can shoot through shipping containers but some other things will stop even the most powerful dart in game even tho a rifle realistically would punch through. Gaijin is consistently inconsistent

But that’s exactly what I mean. If you change a mechanic and can indeed shoot through shipping containers, rework the map.
i dont see it as a problem gameplay wise. you can easily spot tanks over the containers from their radio aerials or exhaust smoke so it just rewards aware players. its soft cover no different to a bushline
the spawns are quite unprotected other than north left spawn but thats easily jusy fixed with more concrete and buildings.
