Well we could still get yamato armed with the twin 510 mm turets, but tbh I think this is more realistick then the sovietsky soyuz that is in wt
The Soyuz ingame was having 3 to 4 ships being made. Everything was being built with the only issue being that anything above 230mm needs to be RHA not RCA as the USSR could not make RCA larger than 230mm.
The shells being as powerful as they are is realistic, however the developers said since both fuse types for filler were alongside eachother they are open to them being downgraded in future (for balance if they seem too powerful).
Given all the ship specifications, internal modules/compartments and armour layouts were all complete as a design, aswell as the characteristics of ships always being accurate to completed variants other than fatigue miscalculations on machinery (not a topic of issue in war thunder). Then the Soyuz is fine.
Having a drawn up version of a ship with no finalisation of anything other than some guns with confusion even being there. No static models nor hydrodynamic model testing, engine construction and armour production schemes inplace creating the armour and fitting it to the keel before production ended.
^There is no reason at all this should come to the game. If this is allowed then Germany can get the H-44. Which though cool, would make War Thunder a laughing stock like World of Warships is for inaccuracy of ship rosters.

I would argue that we have a long way to go before we become anything like WoWs, considering most of the problematic ships you’re referencing are ships designed by WG themselves. That said, maybe WT becoming more like WoWs might not be a bad thing, considering the current state of naval.
That said, there is another less controversial way to introduce the 510mm gun. I recall that a proposal was made to regun all five of the original Yamatos with 510mm guns as a stopgap so the Japanese Naval Board could finish designing A-150. So it’s basically a Gneisenau/Sevastopol situation
I might be mistaken, but IIRC there was a 406mm gun in design or prototyped which would probably be used in the IJN Zipang, so does it mean that in theory (if it is true) a 500k ton ship could be added as well?
I have read it years ago that a gun like that was made or prototyped intended for other ships as well as for the Zipang if they got crazy enough and try to build it.
This would mean it’s not specific to Zipang. Unless the guns were specifically made for Zipang they aren’t enough, since they’d just falls under existing components used in the project.
I dont really remember specific things about it.
+1 for the 25mm AA spam plus the improved secondary battery.
Yep. I have exact same view. No keel = no inclusion into the game. That was the policy announced by the time of Kronshtadt release, and I hope it will be continued.
Otherwise we open a huge can of worms that noone wants to touch.
Other than them using the wrong filler, I would add that there’s another thing that they got way off - accuracy. IRL these guns were hilariously inaccurate, while in-game they are in a tie for the most accurate main battery 🤦♂️

The ship belongs to the drawing and has a low completion rate and should not appear in the game tech tree or non-tech tree. But it can appear in certain game modes as a special event ship. It’s like the train in the game. Can appear, but cannot be used.
Responding to this old comment, however, by Gaijin terms, if it was ever to some degree of being constructed. Then it will be added.
Current examples of Gaijin following what they said.
Kronshtadt, Novorossiysk, and Stalingrad. None were ever finished, and only by technicality were they in service by Soviet Standards.
But they are in-game, as they were incomplete, but still fall under said category.
You got the ship a little mixed up, not Novorossiysk, but the battleship Sovetsky Soyuz.
Oh i did. My bad thanks for correcting
Will it also get above waterline ammo?
Isn’t the A-150 just a paper ship + design? I mean I don’t think it would be added since it never existed just like the E-Series and H-Class series of Battleships.
One main battery was completes so it falls under unfinished.
Also H-class was laid down so it meets standard addition criteria
H39 will be added as it was partially laid down (part of the keel)
Suggestion passed to the developers for consideration.
