Yes using the guns are built reasoning, some H-class proposal can definitely be proposed.
K-1000 was a complete hoax, the most you could probably expect for the USSR in that vein is Project 24
Everything up to H-41 could probably be reasonably proposed. Everything after that is either fake or made by an unofficial branch of the Nazi government with no real power to have anything constructed and no parts exist.
Actually not that much. If this so called penetration ‘bug’ by moderator is not fixed, even early 16’’ ships could be threat to Yamato on some map. And even if fixed, it’s only French and British battleship that would have problem against Yamato on 10~15 km. yes Yamato has good main armor, but it is terrible at angling, and almost no battleship at WW2 design to tank shell in near 10 km.
That is also the reason why I’m not so optimistic about this ship. Same(or less) armor compared to Yamato, and three less gun with longer reload? Nah, 51 cm gun would be just an obstacle for IJN until they have 8-gun, 460 mm version(which also not that OP in WT naval condition)
Yeah, it’s a no from me. I don’t like paper vehicles in the game period, and if I had my way vehicles like the Krondshat would never have been added in the first place, although I begrudgingly understand why Gaijin made the limitations for what can or can’t be added looser for boats.
Regardless, I really don’t feel the Super Yamato is a valid inclusion to begin with. Sure, one or two guns were built, but the ship was never laid down and all technical documentation, from what I can gather, was destroyed long ago. Even if we say it’s a viable inclusion based off of two guns being produced, which is, frankly, an incredibly big stretch, the fact that we don’t even know for sure what it looked like, let alone actual technical specifications sinks it for me.
A turret was built and it would be funny, that’s all I need to be convinced. +1 for both refits
+1 Yes should be added as event Ship
it’s as same Yamato with bigger guns reminds of the H-39 Battleship!
I hope it get added!
Well, it is more realistic than USSR finishing the Sovetsky Soyuz and it being a good ship, so why not? 1+
It was never built in any capacity except some guns tested. Absolute no from me. If the keel was laid and it was actually being built but cancelled before completion then that is fine. Because the ship design is set in stone and quantifiable for performance with real world realism.
But this is complete paper fiction other than gun tests.
Again I hope this never comes to the game since that would make the game just as bad as World Of Warships. And I never want that.
This is identicle to the R2Y2 scandal.
Well we could still get yamato armed with the twin 510 mm turets, but tbh I think this is more realistick then the sovietsky soyuz that is in wt
The Soyuz ingame was having 3 to 4 ships being made. Everything was being built with the only issue being that anything above 230mm needs to be RHA not RCA as the USSR could not make RCA larger than 230mm.
The shells being as powerful as they are is realistic, however the developers said since both fuse types for filler were alongside eachother they are open to them being downgraded in future (for balance if they seem too powerful).
Given all the ship specifications, internal modules/compartments and armour layouts were all complete as a design, aswell as the characteristics of ships always being accurate to completed variants other than fatigue miscalculations on machinery (not a topic of issue in war thunder). Then the Soyuz is fine.
Having a drawn up version of a ship with no finalisation of anything other than some guns with confusion even being there. No static models nor hydrodynamic model testing, engine construction and armour production schemes inplace creating the armour and fitting it to the keel before production ended.
^There is no reason at all this should come to the game. If this is allowed then Germany can get the H-44. Which though cool, would make War Thunder a laughing stock like World of Warships is for inaccuracy of ship rosters.
+1
I would argue that we have a long way to go before we become anything like WoWs, considering most of the problematic ships you’re referencing are ships designed by WG themselves. That said, maybe WT becoming more like WoWs might not be a bad thing, considering the current state of naval.
That said, there is another less controversial way to introduce the 510mm gun. I recall that a proposal was made to regun all five of the original Yamatos with 510mm guns as a stopgap so the Japanese Naval Board could finish designing A-150. So it’s basically a Gneisenau/Sevastopol situation
