Shenyang J-11, J-16, J-15, History, Performance & Discussion

By ‘encyclopedia’ they most likely meant websites like Wikipedia.

Well look at the front glass of the cockpit, it is even more obvious it is yellow, and J11 has transparent ones, so it is just a copy of Su27SM. All J11s have transparent cockpit glass and hood, so we should make a bug report on this.

From serial batch No. 01…

Yeah, but this is J11A with MAWS, so

they should all have transparent coating and since they are upgraded in 2010 as they are in good state, they should have gotten a new wind shield coating which is not very complicated.

Holy F-ing bruh wtfffffffff
There better be a patch coming to address this stuff, and it better come soon.

Last issue is the fact that the cockpit text is in Russian, the J-11A is a Chinese domesticated Flanker and the J-11B is a fully domesticated Flanker.

Well I am talking about the bug report on J-11A Incorrect Canopy // Gaijin.net // Issues. The coating for J11A’s wind shield should be transparent as all J11s with any sort of update have now got a transparent wind shield.

Like this one, which apparently was one of the imported ones.

No should be Su27SM underneath, that is the copy and paste, since all they have to do is change the radar name.

The Pylons are 27SM but the main aircraft is just J11, same modelling for everything save the tiny MAWS bumps. If it was a SM copy paste instead of J11 copy paste then the IRST would be offset instead of centerline and the little radio antenna fairings on the bottom sides of the intakes would be gone too

We need this aircraft to receive the J-11B upgrade modification or it will forever remain trash, people cope about the SU-27SM being bad but never mention the J-11A which is in almost all ways inferior to the SU-27SM.

A J11B mod would be a wonderful change to make the plane viable

True, but the windshield makes it really weird, if it was J11 copy than it surely would be transparent. Could it be the MAWS that was what made them copy Su27SM? It is just really weird how these things are sort of in between. Anyhow, bug reports have been created.

I would do with just the MLU upgrade with CAS ordinance and perhaps make R27 a default missile will help a lot.

In my opinion, J-11B in folder under J-11A because domestic chinese radar & engine, and domestic chinese WVRAAM & active radar homing medium-range Air-to-Air Missile better Su-27SM & J-11A

J-11B close to F-15C MSIP II

I guess maybe Su-30MKK (PLAAF) equivalent F-15C MSIP II with AN/APG-63(V)1 radar from USA tech tree

J-11B close to F-15C MSIP II

This is China we are talking about, Gaijin probably thinks the J-11B will be comparable to the F-22 and add both vehicles in the same patch. And for the J-10 we’ll probably see that in 2045!

Heavier, but radar still bad(

If I recall correctly the first batch of the MKK uses the N001VEP, but those delivered after have a version of the Zhuk. That one is not so bad. It also has the much needed modern RWR, in form of the L-150.

And again, not entirely sure, but I think Chinese Su-30MK2’s can use Chinese air-to-air weaponry. And any Chinese Su-30 has guided air-to-ground munitions we could make use of. Kh-29’s to be exact. It is a decent option if devs are so insistent on not giving us the J-11B and the J-10. There is an abundance of information available on it, so they don’t have any chance to mess that up.

I think there is no proof of MKK using Zhuk radar besides some net rumors, so probably we will not be getting those.
