In this case, it is what Gaijin thinks matters the most. The notion that SD-10 = PL-12, SD-10A = PL-12A was explicitly mentioned by Gaijin tech mod in some of the PL-12 reports. I suspect there will be insufficient public information to pursuade Gaijin this is false.

It depends on what kind of PL-8s are given and plenty of more things… but in general it would be a bit overperforming if the PL-12s were to be fixed. Also why did you mention the BGH and not just the BG? The BGH is just the navy version of the BG isn’t it?

We do know for sure that the PL-12 should be worse than the AIM-120C-5 but I’m not sure by how much, if it did receive a buff it wouldn’t be game changing. The issue probably would be the amount it can carry but this is nullified by the fact that America has the F-15C which can already carry a ton of ARH missiles.

You are correct, the J-11BGH is a upgrade of the BH to reach BG standard for the navy. I mentioned the BGH because it simply sounds cooler and more complex than BG lmao.

They chose to model the missile as though it has conventional fins and drag profile. This means the drag coefficient is adjusted to account for the wave drag in transonic region and matches the subsonic launch charts but will underperform because the additional drag is also accounted for when launched beyond 1.3 mach anyway.
Launches at speeds more than ~1.3 mach will heavily underperform due to this but it is the dev decision since fixing it would require a major alteration to their physics model.

Well yeah IMO we go back to the fact that they had to sacrifice something or somebody for the update since it was this big and they sacrificed the minor nations… in particular China since when it comes to AIR we are literally about to have either the J10A or J11B, they could copy paste a mirage to Taiwan but yeah… whatever…

I predict that in next major update China will get F-16A MLU with IRL missiles and / or mirage 2000. Then in the update after that J-11B will come.
I wonder if the Mirage used or not the MICA-EM, i could accept a copy paste like that if we get another fox 3, it would be hilarious to have so many different Fox3s

Another issue I’m aware of is the Harriers and their spicy engines, Gaijin treats each nozzle as a separate engine and this causes the temperatures to stack to crazy levels making it impossible to flare things like the AIM-9L from rear aspect.
Gaijin has a bad issue with modelling special things like the fins of the R-77s or the nozzles of the Harrier.

I honestly believe the J-10A is next alongside the F/A-18 for the Americans in the next major update, if Gaijin manages to avoid the addition of the J-10A then I’ll have to sort some things out with them (through diplomatic means of course).

Yeah that’s what gets me worried… but it heavily depends on the IRs. If they give us normal PL-8s it is doomed.

It should get MICA EM and Magic 2 but no CAS ability.
Big time. Well we can be sure the next top tier plane that we get will be Fox 3 no matter what and quite possibly good in general.

Well the J11BGH will be much superior to the eurofighter since it has HMD (I think) with AESA comparable to Rafael and even stated as better than F35 since it is first seen in 2020.

It can’t be cause there is a gap that they have to fill since there are so many variants of J7 they could implement and they then need a new line, and J10 will save them so much trouble, giving them ability to fill both J11/J8 line and J7/J10 line with copy and paste vehicle. It will be much more convenient for them to make the J10 since after that they could just copy and paste it into J10B/C which have very minor difference except air intake.
The J-11A is so rushed it still has the same textured pylons from the SU-27SM lmao, Gaijin really did try with China I see. You copy the base J-11 which is a copy of the SU-27, you refuse to add the J-10A then completely forget to reskin the pylons for the J-11A in the live server?

the blue kinda adds to the plane ngl maybe gaijin should add missile skins . so you can make them the same color as dummy missiles or whatever they are called don’t remember the name for them
