Idk what you guys were expecting radar wise, but the only thing id expect to change from currently is
- double Pylons
- empty weight
- RWR

There is some weird misinformation going about that one of the proposed radars for Jeff (the one with side arrays and TINY main array) is supposed to be in j16. It wasn’t even chosen for Jeff but people are delulu. China only has fixed plate AESAs until proven otherwise (and there is no proof)

hopes and dreams actually, its genuinly more likely they add ESM to it as there is a CN ESM in the files, not saying itll come tho

i also dont get why they are complaining more about this radar then the J-15T´s radar, as the J-15T´s radar is prolly more capable then the J-16´s
Huh didn’t realize it didn’t have ESM didn’t test that yesterday. Not like ill ever use it anyways its not all that usefull imo
People think this image is real. Its all you need to know about the general intelligence level of most of the people complaining

The J-16’s radar still lacks a 140-degree scanning mode, whereas both the Rafale and F2000 AESA have this mode, and the F2000 also has a shorter scanning cycle and longer range. From this point of view, the J-16’s radar could be improved to get a 140-degree scanning area mode, with a faster scanning cycle and a larger vertical scanning range.
