I do think it looks cool, although I’m biased towards the twin seater Flankers.
It’s just that why should I play it when I also have the Su-30SM2 that is just straight up better.

Perhaps it is worth remembering that the only AESA radars with a more 70 degrees are the Grippen, EF-2000, Su-35 and Su-57 radars?

R27ERs alone puts SM2 above J-16 right now as they are a game changer for late game 1v1s. It doesn’t even need the crazy radar gimbals…
On the other hand, not everything has to be meta for someone to enjoy. I personally like J11B over 27SM even though it is inferior to it.
I know not every aircraft can achieve this. This is just one of the aspects I personally think defines a BR 14.7 aircraft. It also includes missile count/performance, engine, airframe, and other avionics like the RWR. Overall, aren’t the only reasons the J-15T or J-16 can stay at BR 14.7 just the PL-12A or the WS-10B?But the drawbacks of the PL-12 in the current game are also quite obvious, aren’t they?

yes same also goes foe J15T i think a modernised J11 would have been a better idea but whatevs.
it will be getting new kit later tho likely.
yeah i do think things like the EW and the PL-17 could still make them good by all means
I think they can only carry 2 pl-17s… not a lot compared to r-37m, aim-174 and Aim-424

of course they saw what J15T performanced in nuke thunder so mach limit 2.1 for J16 for sure
This affects all Su-30 airframe in the game. Su-30sm2 cannot break Mach 2.1 either.
A missile that cannot be evaded by just holding down the A/D keys to roll
Chinese jets will not be good until the self claimed “buff” they gave to the PL-12’s which made them unable to hit maneuvering targets is reverted, they just refuse to understand this

The 2.1 Mach cap is likely because it shares the same stats as the Su-30MKK.
