Shenyang J-11, J-16, J-15, History, Performance & Discussion

Does anyone have more detailed images of the YJ-83K being used with the newly introduced bulky DF-4 pylon (which is present for YJ-91, and KD-88’s)?

Even after increasing the weight to 234 kg, the LD-10 outperforms the AGM-88 at a distance of up to 10 km

Looks interesting for TRB

Did they fix the damage tho? Cause as far as I remember it’s only really good for tickling the poor SPAAs

the LD-10 is fixed now yes

Probably because the LD-10 (based on the PL-12) has better overall thrust during its 7.5-second boost phase compared to the AGM-88, even though the LD-10 is heavier. I checked the missile stat sheet — the AGM-88’s first and second stage thrust are both lower than the LD-10’s. So yeah, the AGM-88 accelerates worse than the LD-10.

Yeah, the laser proximity fuze has been removed. They can now properly engage ground targets. And the damage looks pretty solid.

does someone wanna ask smin or something about the YJ-91 broad band seeker bug reports?

The issue manager does think the YJ-91’s seeker is not a bug ? They probably just think the YJ-91 is a Chinese copy of the Kh-31P.

i mean precisely so that we dont have to write a suggestion for it eg get the bugreport forwarded as a suggestion

Do we just ping Smin here to see the messages or what then? Would be nice to see YJ-91 with wideband seeker so I don’t have to choose between like 3 different versions of it on my top tier jet, as far as that one report seems to make it out they do believe in the wideband seeker YJ-91 but don’t want to make it into a thing for some reason?

fuck it, i reported it: J-15T, cockpit disparities

@Yamahagi Someone just sent me this saying it’s a realistic J-16 loadout, but it seems a little suspicious, do you have any comment on it?

Personally, considering we’ve already seen live dual PL-15 pylons on J-20s as well as AVIC J-10CE demonstrator, I wouldn’t consider it as unlikely, but a little too overdone - afterall, we also have these on J-15T now.

This loadout will be accepted if the plane is Russia one
