Wouldn’t be surprised if the case. I saw some photos of dedicated ECM variants with 4 pods (wing tips and under engines)

Not the J-15T we have ingame sadly, thats the J-15D(H or T), our j-15t was never spotted with external ECM afaik

Thats correct.

Sadly J-15DH and J-15DT were never seen with air to air missiles either - only J-16D until now to my knowledge.

Those d variants of the planes have less countermeasures than the normal j15t right?

So they would be worse than the standard 15t in war thunder.

Also, 2 d variants of the J-15? What’s the h variant of the J-15?

I believe they retain the same amount of cm’s. And as far as i know the only Differences between the DH and DT are visually for what i gathered. Edit: i was informed that the Antennas are different and the DH is not Catobar capable

The J-15DH is based on the baseline J-15, while the J-15DT is based on the J-15T, with further optimizations including the removal of the dorsal airbrake, making them the latest members of the J-15 family.

Wait really ? So it should be way lighter right? Wonder why the J16 hasn’t gotten its airbrake removed

The J-16 was finalized quite early on, and now that it’s in the final stages of production, they simply can’t be bothered to make further changes.

Maybe if when gaijin adds j-16 we can find some stuff about radar to make j16 radar better and then argue that j15t has the j16 radar since I don’t see why it wouldn’t. the current j10c radar for it means that most of the radome of the flying shart is just empty air

Sadly that kind of thinking wont work for multitude of reasons, firstly we know just about nothing about the J-16 radar, there is nothing to imply they share the same radar since the J-15T is far newer than the J-16.

The J-15T does not have the J-16 radar. It has different radomes and is backed by a different department. At best, the J-15T radar is related to the J-11D, while the J-16 is a different matter. However, the J-16D and J-15D (T and H) share the same radome, so it is safe to assume that they have the same radar.

It is.
Mounting PL-10 on there requires a second pylon to be mounted onto wingtip PF8KZ first then mount the missile on this second pylon.
