new RWR? or has this been the same one as .20

yes it was just copy paste of the j10c one as far as i checked might change

Actually pl12a is named sd20a on the msl in the game

Actually, the modeling of the proximity fuze and cable conduits also has issues.

only if you use the 200° scan zone

the search zone where the mechanical gimbal has to move

soooooo funny

Doesn’t it also update targets while pointing in the entire opposite direction?

yes it does

Thought I heard that before, but Raven and Irbis don’t iirc

It’s also because a fixed plate AESA is

1.) more reliable. Elimination of maintenance on the gimbal is a massive cost and availability boost.

2.) datalink means it doesn’t matter if it’s gimballed or not, your jet is never fighting alone so your wingman can be sitting in the backfield and guiding your missile while you go into missile avoidance.

3.) fixed plate is superior for minimizing RCS

4.) there are more ways to cue a missile that radar alone.

5.) if you really need more radar coverage, add a SLR array

raven does as well

irbis dosent

Actually, the dev suggestion of J15T already had a photo with PL12A model on J15T

gaijin u can just copy-paste the serial number on it.
Anyway, all of the PL12 msls are named sd10a

also, antenna size, but antenna size magically does not matter in WT so that’s also irrelevant

so the J15T should be 400kg lighter then?

It should be approximately in the realm of 400kg lighter, so should the J-11B actually.
Because the WS-10s (both A and B) are modelled as weighing 1795kg, but that’s also including extra components. AL-31F using the same standard would weigh approximately 1800kg.

^different standards for dry weight for each country

The figure 1795kg includes pretty much all of the engine subsystems.

Unfortunately actual figures of the “dry weight” that Gaijin wants is really hard to come by.

It’s probably in the realm of ~1550-1600 but there’s nothing concrete.

Yeah unless you’re telling me the USSR magically mastered material science to be able to cut 200kg off the weight of an engine with no performance loss

exactly, engineers should use the Eurofighter radar, smaller but just as good in game 🤣🤣, just wait for gaijing to implement the j-16 radar (irl the most powerful radar on a 4.5 gen) and just be a normal radar like their implementation of the j-10c

Wild claim with 0 actual information on its radar
