Well in this case the SU-27SM/30/35 are all made by the same company.
The J-10/20 and J-11/15/16 are made by 2 different companies so there is already a larger difference right there.
Both still being under AVIC but still different

Indeed, there was no purchase, but you cannot prove that it has not been tested. In fact, during a period of time after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, funds from China supported the Raduga Design Bureau to overcome difficulties. China purchased more Russian made precision guided weapons such as KH59 than Russia, and domestically produced aircraft such as JH7A during this period were fully compatible with these weapons. We cannot determine how long this collaboration has lasted
Are you sure? As far as I know, they are respectively produced by Komsomolsk on Amur Aviation Plant named after Yuri Gagarin and Irkutsk Aviation Plant
knappo also makes su-30mk and mk2
They are not the same company, and they have independently modified the design based on SU27
wasn’t MIG swallowed up by Sukhoi?
I checked and even after being annexed, the MiG Design Bureau still has its own aircraft manufacturing plant
Pretty sure they came under one leadership. But yeah different respective plants and plans etc.
I don’t recommend viewing a large state-owned enterprise like AVIC through the lens of a typical company, especially considering that the 611 Institute (aka CAC) was originally established in Sichuan as a result of the 601 Institute (aka SAC) relocating its operations there in preparation for a potential nuclear war.
Poorly worded on my part sorry,
I dont necessarily see them as separate companies but just different branches under the same governance
I mean CAC and SAC share the majority of their core technologies. Their avionics, fire control systems, and other critical subsystems are supplied by the same third-party research institutes and feature identical bus configurations. Consequently, their aircraft maintain full weapon compatibility, with the exception of specific, deliberately omitted capabilities like the CAS functionality on the J-11B.
That is to say, their relationship is not further apart from the relationship between Komsomolsk on Amur Aviation Plant and Irkutsk Aviation Plant. It is unreasonable for you to say that the equipment universality of SU-27SM/30/35 is better than J-10/20/11/15/16
KNAAPO (single P, double A). It produces Non-canard versions of Su-30 (MKK, MK2, M2), Su-35S and its export version, and did upgrade program for Su-27 (both SM and SM3). IAPO (not named like this anymore, but i use it for convenience) in Irkutsk produces canarded versions of Su-30 (MKI, MKA, MKM, SM and SM2). And then there is NAPO in Novosibirsk that produces Su-34 and its derivatives.
Nowadays better abbreviations would be KNAAZ, IAZ and NAZ respectively
bah i hate this technical compatibility bs.
What’s next, j-11a using ramjet r-77-pd (ramjet r-77) because it’s technically compatible?
Technically compatible is a dumb slippery slope
I’m not a fan either, I’m the one he’s responding to there.
There is no bubble to burst? I know how the system works i just expressed that I dont agree with it.
It’s an Adder most likely, given that’s an MKK. Front-end matches up well enough.
