Which is Which?

No problem, do you see why I get anal over exact designations?

Yeah, in the case of both the YF120 and AL-41F the engines were unbelievably powerful but ate through so much fuel that it wasn’t seen as beneficial over conventional turbofan designs.

owo???

bigger one is old AL-41F for Mig-1.44

As u said this is way beyond the three aircraft carriers’ capability, all of them in total should operate roughly 150 or so J-15s of all variants. I would suspect this is 206th J-15, accounting the prototypes this may be lower for number of operational J-15. That said could also be possible they have more squadrons than carriers are capable.

i just konw the new aircraft carriers under construction

Maybe. But the primary issue is that standard J-15 variants don’t follow this serial numbering convention, making it difficult to verify the total count. What we can confirm, however, is that the J-15DT is included within these 206 aircraft.

All carrier-based J-15s will eventually be replaced by the J-15T, while also meeting the needs for pilot training and permanent deployment to island airfields — with most of the aircraft previously stationed on island outposts having already been transferred to the Air Force.

That said Fujian won’t have a full crew of J15s.

Both the Fujian and Liaoning carrier air wings will be composed of J-15 and J-35. Currently, Shandong likely does not yet possess the capability to operate the J-35, whereas Liaoning gained this capability during its last major refit.

I just hope to god that by the time we get the J-16 it will rightfully be by far the best flanker in the game, no BS where somehow the Su-35S magically has a better radar because BVVD said so

does the J-16 have 240° of total gimbal?

Theres very little if any details about the J-16 radar, so good chance that at best, it will be as good as the Su-35’s, and most likely it will be worse.

Not cuz thats accurate to irl, but because the Irbis-E has a lot of public details, and gaijins simplistic modelling of AESA vs PESA will result in this.

Better Radar, Engines, Missiles, ECM, Cockpit (for sim fans), better FM (Lighter)…

The J-16/D will be THE best flanker in game by a signifigant margin

It’s newer, more efficient and roughly the same size as the Irbis, and as seen in a recent incident between some southern asian nations, the Chinese made AESAs are very much capable, and if the J-10CE radar is that good, I have reason to believe that the J-16 one will be better

Do we even know how it looks like?

Irl sure not for wt tho

True

Doesn’t really matter since not modeled
Su35 has better defensive suite but less cms
