oh i thought the next update was supposed to be a small update. ig they will mostly save T4 EFT , su35 , gripen E , F15ex , j16 for the december update .
it will be a small update
but it is still a major one, just like the last one was a major one

It’s like one of the smaller major updates but is still a major update.
The Spring and Autumn Update will be always considered “Minor” although still a Major, because the big update always coming in the Summer and Winter, you know, the holiday season.
Summer update felt pretty small this year tbh
J11a fans rejoice
Well, that is an improvement, but Hell I aint gonna touch it ever again
I’m definitely spading it now, decided not to because I used to just play the 27sm instead but now that it’s at a lower br it’s worth playing it.
Does the su30mk2 also use rvv-sd in service? The radar is compatible with it but idk if the 30mk2 itself has ever been seen with them on
I’m not sure about the SD’s but I’ve seen MK2’s with PL-12 and 8B’s. I’ll try looking at pictures later today to see if I can make any out… Can’t guarantee I will be able to though!
this is different.
PLA patched the fire control computer to make it capable of PL-12/8
Yeah that’s true I thought he was asking if the Chinese ones ever used the RVVSD since this is the Sino-Flanker page
it was designed to use RVV-SD so of course
Well I guess that answers his question!
The radar itself is compatible with rvv-sd, was wondering if they actually used it on the su-30mk2 or if they’re reserved only for su-35
Idk if there are any J-11A fans left tbh, great to see it finally become less of a mess
I mean they had RVV-sd for sure, from the su35s, and they had another jet compatible with it, IDK but we haven’t (I haven’t) seen anything solid showing they used RVVSD.
its still a su30 J11D will be better than it as its far lighter and has same avionics J16 will fly similar to first gen SU27 mostlikely but heavier J16 is heavy but lighter than standard SU30 but heavier than J15 and J11
J-11d is likely still heavier than the original su-27s due to likely having integrated ecm and other sorts. It’s based off the su-27sk and not not the normal su-27s, which is 500ish kg heavier than base model
Huh? The J-16 series is based off of the two seater J-11s, not the Su-30s
Right but it isn’t as viable of an addition given that it isn’t in service with the PLAAF, but if gaijin is happy to add prototypes then sure
Heavier than Su-30SM: No
Heavier than J-15B/D/T: No
Heavier than J-11BG/BGH: marginally
Massive composite reworks should have covered not only that 500kg, but also modernised avionics shaves off another 200-300kg so in reality any chinese flanker with composite is a minimum of 800kg lighter than a Russian Su-27 export model, and thus 200-300kg less than the base Su-27S
