I think you have a J-16 with your missiles

Theoretically they could utilize triple racks under the wings for an additional four or six missiles but there is no point, no one will ever take off with such a large number of ordnance in real life.

You’ll have enough fuel for 10 minutes

triple rack for which missile?

Both

Technically we’ve never seen a J-16 with double rack pylons, at least for AAMs

This should be for rockets, the rails are too short.

I’m aware, I was just stating that it is a theoretical possibility to mount that many missiles since to my knowledge the wings can support the weight… and developing a triple pylon would not be very difficult for the PRC.

We could make the assumption for double racks since we do see them on the J-10s.

WS-10 powered J-15T carrier aircraft arrived at Zhuhai airshow.

Still waiting for J11B RN. Looks great though, I love this low visibility cammo.

So cool 🤤🤤

Just wanted to say the best Flanker China could recieve may possibly be the J-15B instead of the J-16 and simply due to features from the J-16 being incorporated into the J-15 whilst being a single seat derivative with a canard design.

The canards in-game on the SU-34 makes a pretty notable difference and this could be the same for the J-15B.

It’s designated J-15T officially. You are correct that J-15T would be quite a menace, though. The original J-15 was already notably lighter than the Su-33, and the J-15T is likely to be even lighter by incorporating more composite materials. There is now confirmation that J-15T will use WS-10 engines which are anywhere in between 135-147 kilonewtons of thrust, which would give it very respectable thrust-to-weight ratio. Couple that with high AOA capability and low stall speed of naval fighters (especially a naval Flanker) it would be pretty deadly in a dogfight.

J-15T’s avionics and radar fit are supposedly from the now-canceled J-11D fighter. While the J-16 is a multirole aircraft, the J-11D is a pure air-superiority Flanker. So the J-15T might end up even better than J-16 versus other aircraft.

On the contrary, the J-15T can become even heavier due to the need to increase the strength of the head part.I didn’t see any composite materials on it

How can u see composite material? Like the nose is made of composite material, but can’t be noticed much except for paintwork.
Should be around same weight as J15, cause even though more stuff are composite they do need to strengthen the front landing gear for Fujian’s takeoff.

AOA capability and low stall speed of naval fighters (especially a naval Flanker) it would be pretty deadly in a dogfight

It’d still fall short to many aircraft in a guns only dogfight and that’s due to the Flankers general poor flight performance in-game, the best general aircraft we could recieve would probably be the J-10C or J-10B TVC.

Including PL-10s however with the obvious HMS feature would probably make it a amazing dogfighter in-game, a lock would almost guarantee a kill in most scenarios and with the J-15s high AOA capabilities this would help assist the PL-10s kill potential.

It’s designated J-15T officially

Yeah this is a new designation or as far as I know, it was previously coined the name “J-15B” so I referred to it as that.

The J-15T sounds more modern and menacing anyways lol.

Almost-

No, in fact all modern Chinese combat aircraft have composite materials in their airframe as this is a modern standard.

China is a nation with a GDP of 18 trillion, they wouldn’t struggle with financing this unlike others.

To be fair a b29 with pl10’s on it would be good in a dogfight

used some of J-11D tech, but J-15T is also a multirole aircraft.

Composite materials are labelled with prohibition signs, about fragility. No such signs have been observed
