Severe Imbalance in Top Tier Ground RB

I never came across a stock T-90M while in HSTVL, in-fact I only came across 2 T-90Ms so far. One I hit the lower part of the ERA, and the other I shot below the ERA bags.
I don’t have a spaded T-90M to show you my shot sadly.

I never try to disable someone as my first shot; My shot priority is as follows:
1- Ammo.
2- Crew.
3- Breach.
4- Gunner-Commander.
In that order. My first shot is always for ammo first.

The HSTVL’s reload is already faster than MBTs so the reload of 2S38 does not matter.
Laser warning I wish mattered but no one uses laser munitions.

20 meters isn’t enough, they have to drive out of the entire zone. 20 bombs of somewhere between 10 and 60 meter radius across an entire spawn is significant. All the while the Pantsir can’t fire, and that’s IF they understand what’s going on in time.
Napalm is primarily on tech tree vehicles, not premiums, and not relevant to this topic.
IR AGMs are OP, they still have counterplay though.

The Pantsir lacks the range to deal with F-15s at high altitude; I’ve been facing hundreds of Pantsirs since dev server at 8000+ meters, it wasn’t until November 2024 when I confirmed they were buffed in manual launch mode to hit a target out to 16km flying straight at them, turning would still dodge the missile, as well as going mach 1.3+.

I do not doubt your experience against Pantsir has been different, I’m sharing my experience.

Only way to fix top tier is to either give everybody an Pantsir equivalent (Gürz System) , remove KH38s or simply remove CAS.

At this point top tier is not even about realism anymore. Nothing feels realistic at top tiers. It plays like Counter Strike but with Tanks and Jets instead of Humans.

agreee all you say RB is CAS Battle now all game die 2 or 3 time by bozo SU plane who shoot when they pop and go down and do that again and again put CAS at 1500 spawn point or remove it it s cancer now or give real AAA to other nation Russia is too strong or they theory have the weak stuff

That was exactly the point I was trying to make, but most users on this forum don’t actually play the game — they rely on theory and completely ignore the simple, obvious things that real players experience in actual matches.

This isn’t about the BR of the 2S38 — it’s about how easily players are able to spawn aircraft, and how that is turning Ground RB matches into air battles filled with planes

This should have been done a long time ago

The cost of aviation needs to be increased so that the player can get it only for good results in battle.

The T-90M has no business being grouped with the 2A7 and 122s. It’s so mid compared to them.

2A7s and 122s should just be moved to a BR of their own.

I intercepted 2 Kh38s with trophy in random battles, once in the Merkava Mk.4M and the second time in the Namer, and I didn’t die from overpressure.

Did some testing afterwards and same went for hammers from the Rafale (if they approached from within the radar scan angles of the aps).

If that’s the case then put the SEPV2 and Arietes…etc at 11.0

I’m not even going to put the SEPv2 and Ariete in the same sentence though. I dislike the SEPv2 and it’s addition a lot, but it’s still considerably better than the Ariete.

But yeah, I would prefer the 2A7s/122s to move to 12.7 at least, stuff like the SEPv1/Type 10/TKX/T-80BVM to move to 12.3 and then have 12.0 for tanks like the M1A2/SEPv2/T-90M/etc.

(of course with the max aircraft BR in ground RB moving to at least 14.0.

That wouldn’t change anything tbh, i play at 11.3 with an F5E and LAV and i meet up with 2A7,T90M,Pantsir,SU30SM so the idea of them going to a lower BR wouldn’t change the fact that they will fight against them most of the time.

Abrams is better when it comes to turret armor but other than that both of them got penetrable hull, but in the case of the Abrams it’s worse because of the exposed turret ring.

if we move the 2A7 to 12.7 and max air to 14.0 you would not be facing them in 11.3 though.

Also uptiers are always going to be somewhat painful, you think 10.7 enjoys playing against the M1A1/IPM1/Type 90s?

I prefer the better vertical targeting speed and better ammo rack layout of the Abrams over the…wait the Ariete doesn’t even have a single advantage it can offer as counterweight.

Na bro the Abrams is pretty mediocre at top tier but the ariete is just simply way worse.

Ariete is definetly worse, but the exposed turret ring on the Abrams makes somewhat close to being garbage compared to the Ariete and basket made it even worse.

the MLs have IOG meaning that you could lose lock and it’ll still go in it’s general direction. Having a TGP that has a wide gimble limit means you can do maneuvers rather than going in a straight line. The Su34 can’t really do this but the Su30 definitely can

I know how ML works. But it’s not like MT, where you can launch 6 agms in 10 seconds and then reload.

Must have a high skill to be able to maneuver, notch amraam and guide lasers into 6 tanks at the same time.

The nose on roll is a skill check when it comes to rld users. I do it so much to rld 1s and 3s by the time they get to vt1s if they haven’t learned to unlock the plane, they can catch the bomb!

I think a neat direction for spaa, especially with the new rewards for intercepts, could be shorad like systems, like a beefed up Geopard radar with its proximity rounds, shorad Bradley ext. Gun based SPAA with tws like the pantsir, not going to counter planes but extremely good at knock incoming down. Better radars and proxi to justify their high BRs.
Issue would be finding equivalents for all nations. I got the big three, but struggle with the minors.
