Isn’t distance from CM to stabilisers based on horizontal dist between the CG and control fins? The value seems highly inconsistent across missiles though so I’d imagine it’s more often than not just tweaked until performance seems about right alongside other values.

How the hell am I supposed to use these missiles now after that nerf? I fired one at a Su-27 near to 12km away coming at me and it couldn’t catch him

While i used AIM-120As i could at least hit 12km shots
AIM-120s are good, idiots just try to knife fight with them… kind of like how they try to low speed turn fight Zeros on the deck in P-51s…
since this change occurred, they will need even more time to “observe” its statistics and see if it goes up and down based on these changes, so the clock essentially resets /s

The entire meta revolves around 5-15 km missile shots with turn-in, turn-out fights where HOBS performance matters a lot. This is why the MICA is the best missile in the game, it has unmatched turn performance and unmatched acceleration at these ranges.
