Yeah that is also annoying. Bots shouldn’t be able to claim kills already decimated by players
Saw few bots in Japanese boats, when the battle was full of AI (4 players in total), as I understand AI appear in vessels of nations in some order that’s why I mostly see US, SU and German AI boats in battles (at least at 3.7).
A “Severe Damage” mechanic similar to what they forced on us in Air Combat would be a blessing in Naval Combat . . . imho
Naval could be perfect place for Gaijin to create a proper PvE content where all the vessel classes could come together and be useful.
Put all real players in one team and throw them at real life scenario: convoy escort, amphibious landing, port attack…
Boats tasked with recon and mine clearing, destroyers and sub chasers going after submarines, cruisers being screening force and battleships delivering heavy punch.
However you will do it it will be much more fun than it is today…
I tried this today. I had 18 kills but only advanced 11 in “Fire Disciplin”. So the update forgot to apply itself to the pass tasks too.
Now we have inconsistent rules: counts with dailies but not with pass challenges, but perhaps sacrificing a virgin under a new moon may help…
I was curious on the wording on this too, as the Battle Pass has “challenges”, not “tasks” – which are what the daily ones (and special one) have in their name.
The other thing I noted:
Bots pay way less BUT are harder to kill (Small hit&die vessels excluded).

It’s even worse when you don’t even get the assist. I have hundreds of screenshots of this and there’s been bug reports about this for years to no avail…
Many times, the one who gets the kill is ALSO awarded the assist, denying the assist to Player 2.
So you may deal 90% of the damage to a ship, but if a teammate gets the remaining 10%, they may get both the kill AND the assist, leaving you with no rewards at all.
It’s things like this that made me drop Naval altogether.
This, and the bots that give you 90 RP with Premium account and Talisman/Premium ships even though it takes just about as long to kill them as normal players. The grind is impossibly long and unbearable.

Now it turns out that one of the worst B U G S that’s ruining the Naval gamemode has not even been forwarded for a fix because someone who does not understand the system decided that it is not an issue?

Well, then I can already completely forget about this gamemode, if it’s going to be actively sabotaged like this. I just regret all the time, effort and money I’ve already poured into it.
They decide what is and what is not a bug, based on game updates notes. And there was an update that changed how assists in Naval works.
So this specific bug moderator, after checking update changelogs, decided this is how the “new” assist system should work. Based solely on the update changelog which mentioned changes to assists in Naval.
I have to admit, there is some logic in all this, from the perspective of the bug moderator. The problem is, just the fact there was a change to this part of the game, doesn’t mean that the “new” game code doesn’t have any bugs. That’s the thing they are missing. And for every experienced Naval player, there is clearly a bug with this “new” game code. But it’s hard to explain this to a person, who doesn’t even play Naval.
What baffles me is how, even though the bug is so obvious, blatant and clear, whoeover it is keeps chosing to reject it and not even consider; “wait… if people aren’t getting assists after dealing 90% of the damage to a target, maybe, MAYBE, there’s an issue at hand…”
So yeah. I’ll just stay away from Naval until the bugs and issues it’s plagued with are addressed.

Def looks like something is wrong/broken. Very interesting.
He’s using Yamashiro- a Top Tier Premium Battleship. Premium vehicles don’t have such Max Efficiency penalties.
On top of that, there’s also a Premium account there.
50 RP per kill with Premium account and Premium Top Tier is just… laughable.
