Right, yes, players who have been missing entire matches worth of RP since 8 YEARS should just be grateful that gaijin finally took the time to fix the bug and not complain or ask any form of compensation.
Gaijin is already famously known for being extremely generous and the grind is definitely not a chore in F2P, so no compensation needed !

Considering the bug was among the hardest to find in the history of War Thunder, and lost RP wouldn’t have been a monitored stat, reimbursement is physically impossible.

The only indication of them working on it that i found is a bug reporting manager confirming that they were working on it 5 months ago
And considering that said bug report was closed for a year before the bug reporting manager commented, i don’t think the fix has been in the works for the “years” you claimed
100% accurate reimbursement might be impossible, but showing some good will by giving people boosters that scale with their time/games played would be much better than nothing.
Taking them almost a decade to identify and fix a critical game bug doesn’t look good if you ask me.
Yeah I must be super greedy for wanting a handful of boosters to regain some of the lost RP.
I’m also super ungrateful by not shedding loads of blissful tears and building a statue for the snail after learning that a critical game bug has been fixed in less than a decade.
Woohoo, shall we all throw a party because the bug span through only 2010s and 2020s and was fixed before 2030s came along. What a proud accomplishment that is.

I get that it was a hard-to-find bug, but that doesn’t change the fact that players were losing RP for years due to an issue outside of their control. Just because lost RP wasn’t a monitored stat doesn’t mean Gaijin couldn’t have started tracking it after realizing how long this bug had been around.
And yes, they’ve been working on it for years—but only now did they finally fix it. That’s exactly the problem. Players lost progress for ages, and the response is just, “Oh well, it’s fixed now.” No attempt at compensation, no acknowledgment of how much time people wasted because of it. It’s great that they fixed it, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have handled it better.
If Gaijin can track the most minute stats for economy changes, repair costs, and earnings, they could have found a way to track lost RP once they realized this bug was a long-term issue. Just saying “it’s fixed now” doesn’t undo years of wasted progress.
The funny thing is I wouldn’t experience the bug until 3+ years after finding out about it from a friend that experienced it, cause I never rushed matches back to back.
I’d play the full match, or switch between lineups/planes constantly cause variety is what I love about the game.
The total amount of times it happened to me is less than 10, but there are many that did rush matches so it impacted them more.
Either way, it’s not monitored, and it was prevented by slowing down.
And no, tracking lost RP would require finding the bug still, and if you find it you can fix it faster than developing a temporary tool.
Finally, a fix for a 12+ year issue. Hoping for many more to come in the future o7

Here’s a pretty basic case of it appearing.
You’re spading a plane in ASB. Lobby starts dying down after 45 minutes and the only real gameplay becomes CASing. You want dogfights. You ditch the lobby and go to the next one. However, first lobby gets kept alive by 2 guys airfield bombing so it will be at least 2 hours until you get rewards for it, while you second lobby ends before that as it had active players.
Boom, RP loss for totally legitimate, no rushing matches, just trying to get fun dogfights.
It can, all the matches are logged if u ever had to contect support u have a whole list of matches u played. It woudnt be that hard for them to calculate the lost rp. Give us 5000ge or calculate the rp

I believe that you Gaijin should compensate players for this. Many were affected and lot of RPs were lost. Something something should be done about it and compensate players.
Like 3 days of premium and 20 extra maximum huge RP boosters.

We’re just not blind the the countless insanely greedy decisions and anti-player decisions that have riddled and ruined this game over the years. For the record no I don’t expect some massive tracked compensation that’s wild, but ignoring the MANY critical mistakes of this game is just blind.
